Re: CREG Customs Presents: Sculps & Upcoming Projects - KFC Wayne PROTO PICS!!!!

I've always thought the eyes look a little weird on my Adam sculpt too. I think Bale's eyes are pretty hard to do as Hot Toys looks a little weird too

Re: CREG Customs Presents: Sculps & Upcoming Projects - KFC Wayne PROTO PICS!!!!

Hi Creg...

There is something that I think is not accurate.. I'm not in the list for this headsculpt but I'm interested on some other of your Batman projects... The problem IMO is in the eyes, the white section in the eyes (I don't know the name) is way too prominent.. like the eyes of a fish... Not really accurate to bale. Adam got the eyes better on the photo sample:

that print is distorted. check in Monday night.

Re: CREG Customs Presents: Sculps & Upcoming Projects - KFC Wayne PROTO PICS!!!!

Hi all.....pretty new to the forum and completely overwhelmed. Way too much to see. I found this thread and have been trying to figure out if any of these heads are available for sale. I'm really interested in those Arnie heads.

Re: CREG Customs Presents: Sculps & Upcoming Projects - KFC Wayne PROTO PICS!!!!

How is the TDK/R cowl coming along?

I need to replace the oddly shaped, tiny head DX12 cowl. :D

Re: CREG Customs Presents: Sculps & Upcoming Projects - KFC Wayne PROTO PICS!!!!

Bateman is in - will try to post pics tonight - Still waiting on KFC reprint. Should be first of the week at the latest.

Re: CREG Customs Presents: Sculps & Upcoming Projects - KFC Wayne PROTO PICS!!!!

Hi Dean, Forgive me if I'm posting in the wrong thread, but I am exhausted trying to find info on the Arnie sculpts. I would really love to get all of them. Can these be ordered yet? Is there a list I need to be on?

Re: CREG Customs Presents: Sculps & Upcoming Projects - KFC Wayne PROTO PICS!!!!

Any chance you are finding another printing company? For some reason, the printed 3D head doesnt seem as good as your zbrush pics. Maybe they cant capture the details?

No - the machine my printer uses is about as good as you can get at this stage.

The skin texture is not translating over but I will be experimenting with that soon. The biggest issue is the distortion I got from zbrush. I am on my third print for Wayne now. Expensive lesson learned. :monkey2

Pitt's looking a little like Achilles :stick:

Re: CREG Customs Presents: Sculps & Upcoming Projects - KFC Wayne PROTO PICS!!!!

OK guys - Wow... So I had one of the bad prints - The second one I never posted pics of that was too wide in the face, and slapped a coat of flesh tone on it. Was SHOCKED at how detailed these prints are. Apparently the dark grey resin just soaks up light and hides the detail. I thought it lost the eyebrows but they are indeed there and all the creases around the eyes and the forehead.

Hope to grab some macro shots soon.

Thanks man.

I just want it to look like pitt :D

Digital sculpting is easy to look good, on the monitor, but it will be another story when comes to physical print. :monkey2
Tips for you Dean, try more materials to get rid of the dark shadow and shading in sculpting, it will help you to see the whole volume easily. But most important thing before your sculpt, is to align your photo reference with a proper perspective camera in zbrush. As I see in your Bale, it only looks good under a distorted camera, the head width and eyes distance is wrong from your photo. You can see from Adam's sculpt, the head width proportion is different from your sculpt. Make sure you have enough long perspective reference to get the frontal view right. One more thing, take extra care to the distance between outside corner of eyes to the ear. Hope it help~:wink1:

Thanks - I run through about 3-5 materials while sculpting. The biggest mistake i made was sculpting in normal and not perspective. I am readjusting all of my digital sculpts now before printing anymore.
