I'm hitting the Ikea store in Houston next month while I'm down for vacation. I just hope the box fits in the rental car along with the wife, two kids and our luggage. If not I guess one of the kids will be taking Greyhound home.

It wont. The Detolf boxes are VERY long and VERY thick (I know that sounded bad lol). If you have that much riding with you, you'll need a truck (unless you're driving a hearse or something)

Have the Jysk ones, they do allow a lot of dust in though. Wish I had something better sealed

Since I've got one coming through Fed-Ex, I was wondering, are the boxes padded at all?

I grabbed a Detolf and may get a Billy (with doors).

Those gaps piss me off though.

How much is that Besta?

i like the double doors (JYSK Seja cabinets ). i'm so running out of room and i have this one.. actually i have two.. 1 for my preds and the other for gi joes, he-man, mcfarlance, etc.. i so need a customized.. especially since i'm getting into Pred Bios

I would love to know where in the uk to get a real great cabinet like the ones you have jkno.

these look great !! clean lines and simple design, i like the rods that keep the bottom off the floor as well.

Beautiful Work man!!! :lecture

Thanks guys! :) Can't wait to move to the new house and display my collection there. In my small apartment where I live now everything looks so cluttered like a warehouse... At the new house I'll have a room for my collectibles :joy

I have the Detolfs myself, and I also have what IKEA had was the SKOGEN, which is perfect for displaying PF's.

Sadly, the SKOGEN's are now deleted from their catalog.

That looks awesome!

Wondering though - how much clearance do you have in each of the shelves. It looks like the Lord of Darkness fits in there pretty well and he is 23" high.

I am trying to figure out if my Predator 1/4 Maquette will fit in there - he measures in at 24 " high

I actually took out the Lord of Darkness the other day to see if my Predator maquette would fit and it does...barely. I could always raise the shelf above it up a notch if I want. Will try and take a picture for you and post it here

Hey thanks man - a picture would be awesome and very helpful - thanks man :)
Im also thinking about putting my Darth Maul bust, Salacious Crumb life size, and Alien Queen 1/4 scale bust in there - from the looks of your pictures it looks like they should fit, I think........maybe not the queen bust though.

Is this the size of besta you bought?

I have two that look similar to this, but black and don't have anything going down the center. I like the wood setup because that allows you to screw some cheap light set ups inside of them. one has 5 shelves and I use it for dvds, computer software and my collectibles. the other one has 3 shelves and I use it for books, video game systems, and one shelf for my collectibles which I screwed a light setup to the top of that shelf. there actually book cases I got at wal-mart for about 40 bucks a piece. they work great.

I have the tallest Besta units that are like 75" high. A double wide next to a single to give me 3 columns. One day I'll get around to painting the wires for the lights black

Here's a pic of the Predator in the cabinet:
