Oh, MAN! Periscope was intense. I was the lucky guy that got Whiplash, Mk II. I just downloaded the Periscope app earlier today to mess with it when I learned about it on Twitter from following Sideshow. Real easy to setup if you're already on Twitter. Couldn't believe Susan called me out when I requested Whiplash for a giveaway. She freaked me out when she asked if I 'wanted' him or already 'have' him. I was texting 'WANT!' worried she wouldn't see my message with all the others pouring in. Fortunately, she did. Awesome fun. I'm definitely hooked on Spooktacular this year. Great start!

Gotta admit, this "old man" never would've installed 'Periscope' had I not been motivated by the giveaway. REAL glad I did it! Sideshow is keeping me modern.

exactly right. it's genius on sideshow's part. anything that forces them out of their comfort zone to learn social media is worth the money and effort. more advertising for them from a demographic that wouldn't have cared otherwise.

Only place I heard of Periscope before Sideshow was a radio show doing something on it.

Why isn't SSC on Snapchat though? They're falling behind the times...

I have to say that it makes me happy to see peoples on here winning stuff. This is an awesome community that has been awesome in teaching me their ways and asking my sometimes "special" questions, and you guys deserve to win this cool stuff!

The picture posting/liking/commenting on Instagram isn't any different from Facebook, so I'm not quite sure why people ever felt there was a need for it instead of just using Facebook.

Everything about Facebook is random and cluttered. Instagram is complete (you see everything from everyone you're following) and precise (that's all you see unless you click away on hashtags, searches and other people's names - but all those are still laser-focused).

Instagram is the better Twitter but with mandatory photo posting. It also has some very intuitive editing features for the photos. Text is optional, but not including tags means your photos live in obscurity (which might be what some people want). You can also use it for purely private communication, which on Twitter only works downward from followed to follower.

The only really great photo platform online however is Flickr. Facebook is really no good at all for photos.
