My Twitter alert chimes only when Sideshow posts er, tweets.
Couldn't you guys just start a temporary Twitter account and favorite Sideshow Collectibles and then delete your account later like after the 12 days of Christmas? Or leave it alone until next years Spooktacular? I'm NEVER on Twitter but have only been active for Spook and this.

If you write to this address it will defeat the purpose of keeping the mailings restricted to codes only. Keep chatter and replies here in the forum.

Yup. I know people who have accounts and only use them for certain events, like San Diego Comic-Con.

No, for multiple reasons:
1. Sideshow doesn't post all the codes to Twitter
2. You can't favorite someone you follow, only a particular tweet
3. Most twitter clients, including the otherwise excellent Tweetbot, don't have notifications for tweets unless you are mentioned (I'm not sure if this is a Twitter API rule or not)
4. Even if #3 were possible with every client, you'd be getting dozens of notifications/alarms and possibly no codes

But you can favorite someone you follow? You can have their tweets sent to your phone via a text. Unless I'm not understanding what you're saying.
I do agree with #4 though, if it's someone who tweets a lot, your phone could be going off the hook.

I am out most of the night so I won't be on the lookout like I have been. Although even on the look out I think I was only able to post the code here first once lol.

No, you can't favorite anything except individual tweets.
Yes, you can definitely do this, but this isn't the same thing as setting a favorite. And it has the drawback of #4, especially considering Susan tweets a LOT during the course of a day.

Alright lets not get in a who knows twitter best war we are all trying to help each other here.
If everyone is going about this different ways and posting any codes they find here (and in the email) then I think we are probably going to have as good a chance as possible to get every single one of these.

Is the favorite function you're seeing in your client client-specific?
If it's not something that can be activated from the Twitter web site, then it's not a twitter feature and it's most definitely something that's not supported on all clients (which is what I said about notifications).
More power to you for having a client that has that feature, but it doesn't change the limitations/issues imposed by the other facts.

Cool, I've asked for that feature (per-contact notification preferences) in Tweetbot and Twitter both a long time ago. I stopped using the official client years ago because Tweetbot was a lot more usable. It's definitely useful for situations like this during the daytime, but obviously not when trying to get some sleep.
