Sounds like you tried to turn it on....Unfortunately that is the one thing you should NOT do when you get your computer wet. You could try opening up the casing, blot dry what you can, and let it air dry for several days. You can also try sealing the laptop in a bag with uncooked rice, also for a few days. Do a search--there are plenty of videos and sites that help with this.


And luckily I happened to be checking this thread and saw the code!

I killed my work laptop with coffee (and seperately, a monitor; and I once killed a pager with a toilet LOL).

Best thing to do is to unplug battery and jack, so there is no electricity at all, and let it dry out for a long time (like a week). Then after it's dry cross your fingers it didn't short out.

My laptop was closed and in standby. But after over night I tried to turn it on and my laptop would turn on but there is nothing showing up on the screen.

Ouch. Go with the rice. I've saved a laptop that way. And a few cell phones. Uncooked and in a air tight enclosure.

Current code isn't working for me. It says that its worth 100 points, but when I try to save it, this comes up: "Sorry, the word ' M1STL3TOE ' was not found. Please double-check your word and try again."

yeah, same here.

You need to erase the spaces from before and after the word. They usually go in when you cut and paste.

I entered the code about 3 minutes ago successfully. Prior to that it would not even check the word. Maybe try again....Ithink its good until 9pst
