I know i'll get crap for this but i'm worried that this email notification isn't what Sideshow intended. If they wanted everyone to get them they would just send them in emails themselves. That's why they have the codes up at different times for different time zones, the intention is for most people to get one or the other, not both.

I could be wrong but a couple of weeks ago when Susan posted a code on Twitter with a question and someone replied asking what the code is because he didn't know the answer i gave it to him and she wasn't happy at all.

I'm just worried if they see this email thing they might change how they give the codes out, if at all.

I know what you mean but we are just a small percentage of their customer base :dunno

Well, they did send some by email so I don't think that is an issue. Different time zones have nothing to do with it, just keeps us all interested 24/7.

Just realized this is my 1000th post:fireworks

Sideshow couldn't buy advertising like this, even the kids are asking if I have any more codes :lol It's very clever on their part tbh and will only end up with a load of orders for them so it's a win win situation as I dont think it will eat to much into their profit margins unless your addicted like Col and me and and have nabbed every promo code and will end up with something for nowt :hi5:

Yeah, lol i sent it yesterday. Oh well. We'll see what happens. I still try to check he quite often.

I sent you a couple of PMs yesterday - check your inbox here. I'm sending another one right now.

On a related note… The additions are up to date with the exceptions being anyone with an AOL address (the forwarder doesn't allow it based on AOL's request) and anyone who forgot to include an email address - in both cases I've written back PMs asking for an alternate email address.

It's not like they are going to be losing money, even the most determined code hunters that have every point going wouldn't make a dent in the price of the P2 maquette for example. They could give every customer $700 worth of points and most likely still make a profit on that thing. I've only gotten three of the codes despite these threads. There is only a small majority bothered enough to stay up all night waiting for them all and checking at work etc so I don't think we are impacting Sideshow too much. They wouldn't offer these if it wasn't good for business so don't worry too much.

I don't get why other collectors are ragging on guys for trying to get all the codes. Every little bit counts and it all adds up. Any collectors should understand that. Saving money in this hobby is key, even if it's only 5 bucks at a time. These promo codes have given me free shipping on every item I have pre ordered and a discount on the price too for some of them so I'm living this promo and I'm thankful some guys are doing their best to spread the word of new codes!

Nowt wrong with collecting codes.

2755 Reward Points tell me it was well worth keeping track of this, and the Spook, thread :hi5:

I hope you aren't using points on every order for free shipping? :nono
Using points means you won't gain the 5% on your order. Save as many points as you can, then use them on one item :wink1:
