Hmm I didn't get a code with any of my recent HT figures (BvS Exclusivr Superman, Old Ben, Battling CW Cap)...

if you do get one it's a personal code so it seems no more free codes for everyone. Once one person uses It that's it.

the last 2 letters were FU. i was making a joke in reference to the price of the war machine that is $360. and i am banned for life for this?

am i banned because i used someones code that posted? i didnt know i wasn't supposed to use it. i mean, what the heck is going on?

i have no idea whats going on. i suspect the mod who just shanked me for life thought i was poking at someone...i don't know. its funny how the mod just jumped to conclusion and didn't bother asking me anything. i don't get it. banned for cracking a joke about a high price. nice.

Out of my 15 orders from sideshow, I have only received a promo card on my very first order (R2-D2). Since then, absolutely nothing. So hopefully they don't stop the general monthly codes or I'm just going to be out of luck and ordering from BBTS.

Same here. I think in all my Sideshow orders I've only ever got a post card for the monthly code once or twice. If they start doing unique codes hopefully they're more diligent about including them in every order.

The promo code is not valid for recently released pre-order or in-stock product.

That part is definitely different than the open-use $20 codes, which included a specific date for each month's coupon card.

I thought this might end up happening as a replacement for the code postcards w've all come to love. If the original intention of the $20 codes was for only the customers who received them to use them, then single-use codes will serve that purpose with more control - even if the code is given out, they have an easy way to know ahead of time the maximum amount of discounting they'll have per promo period. There's potentially a bit more work to do in preparing the artwork for print, but IMO, that's not a big deal as software/plugins can take care of serialized/randomized data merging (the unique code on every card).

If a code is posted here to the thread it's for everyone/anyone to use, so you did right by it.

No idea what's going on with a ban, but you should contact Dave to find out what's going on. Honestly, Dave is setting himself up for a lawsuit by letting mods run the place into the ground. I've seen multiple times in the past where forums have been shut down and the owners embroiled in costly lawsuits brought by a disgruntled member for having been banned - when cash is on the table this is even easier/more relevant. Money exchanging hands implies a contract and it doesn't matter what language is used on board rules to try and get around it.

you know, i have no idea. i suspect Dave is the one who did it, since he is the only one who can issue a lifetime ban for a simple comment. what other mod would do this? i have emailed him and Galactiboy and neither has responded. I'm was never issued any explanation and i believe he is reading the last comment i made about the FU as a shot at apemanryan. thats all i can figure. all i was joking about is that i paid $360 for a 1:6th figure. and even if i was saying fu to apemanryan which i was certainly not, (we have spoken privately and are from the same hometown) is that a reason for a lifetime ban?

none of this adds up except for if it was a personal issue a mod has with me.

i wish a mod could explain it to me. no one has bothered to even say why despite my attempts to contact them. not a very good example of leadership.
