well the industry has taken a cool Hobby (type of art collection) from limited editions and could be considered as investments to over produced non limited items with hugely inflated costs. I guess it happens to all "artists" when they become popular... It wouldn't be as bad if they really stuck to the limited thing (which some are trying to, just not HT), and stopped re-leasing products or making secondary production runs (Han, Chewy, Vader, Obi...), when is the last time a figure from SS or HT sold out the first day (exclusive)? or even sold out within the first month after hitting stores? We might be in a dangerous bubble right now, haha.

Tell that to this guy at my Toys R Us who practically ripped a TFA Falcon from my hands because it had the nicest box in the store, and then he lectured me how "Vehicles with figures will be with thousands 10 years from now". He was specific to the ones that came with pack-in figures, he wanted nothing to do with the rest of them.
