Yeah. The time limit on these codes is a bit ridiculous. I fumbled logging into my account from my phone the moment it was posted and it was gone.

Why in the world doesn't my phone make a sound when Tapatalk notifications pop up on my phone? I have the setting turned on in my iPhone, but I was laying a foot from my phone and it didn't make a sound while everywhere else was posting about this code just now!

Facebook post. I just happened to be signed in when the post showed up. Got lucky.

And I was lucky that I had my phone in my hand as it vibrated notifying me regarding the post that you made.

Same thing happened last time I got my only other reward points since SDCC.

As just logging in to Sideshow can waste some time we don't have with these time limited codes.

I had the Sideshow reward page open already on my phone. Just typed it in without logging in and it still saved to my account. Only afterwards did it ask me to log in.

Protip. What's the direct reward page again? I'll just leave that open.

It may not be up for preorder yet, but Hot Toys showed off a Vol 2 Drax at San Diego Comic Con. It looks like the Vol 1 figure, but with new pants, a big gun, and the jet pack that chafed his nipples.

Ha That's not relevant ... last time I checked you can't use a promo code valid for only a few hours on an item that hasn't even been officially announced, let alone put up for preorder.

That would give new meaning to "mentally preorder" a figure displayed at a show. Hell, I would've applied that $30 code to Yondu via mental preorder if I could.

Anyone got a $20 code they don't need? Thinking of putting in yet another order... Would greatly appreciate it!

From their blog about the eclipse promotion:

Join Sideshow in celebrating eclipse fever with this special Total Eclipse of the Cart for a limited time! And when that’s over, keep an eye out for any strange, talking plants…

I wonder what the last sentence mean? Something about Groot?

Time for a little evaluation of the stats, promocodes are given out at an average of 2,17 days now. Average time to enter a code before it expires is 3.42 minutes. So plenty of time right ;) Next code should be given out tomorrow during Sideshow Live, but that's no surprise.

Everybody should try to post the codes in the non-banter thread. I've been posting them in there when I find them. This way, everyone can subscribe to that thread for e-mail notifications, and they'll only happen when a code is posted. It's impossible to keep track of every post in this thread trying to watch for codes. You have to open the thread every time a post is made to "reset" it so that you'll get an e-mail notification for the next post. That's why this codes-only thread was created. It could work great if we all started using it for both posting to and subscribing to. People post the codes here really fast so if they went in the codes-only thread at the same time, the instant notification would help a lot more of us get them.

Agreed, I have subscribed to that thread.

The eclipse code yesterday, was that for in stock trying-to-move items only? Never got a chance to take a look, too busy.

Here's an update on the codes post-SDCC. I'm on a dry spell- I've only gotten the SS Live codes the past couple of weeks. At least I finally figured out why my phone wasn't making a sound when I got a Tapatalk notification, so I now have a higher chance of getting codes they release at decent times of the day.

Also, I changed the times listed in my spreadsheet to Pacific time, as that seems to make the most sense since that's the time zone SS is located in.

It doesn't look like the whole "non-banter" thing has been working too well. Most of the posts in that thread aren't people posting codes.

The board won't sent out emails for the thread fast enough anyway. It's useless subscribing to thread updates.
