Has anyone used a discount code or gift card on a discounted item with free shipping recently? I am curious to know if they are in fact not honoring free shipping when the code is used. For instance the Elder Predator is now 10% off, triple rewards and free shipping. If I use the $20 gift card will they charge me shipping after the order is placed?

a couple years ago they just used to let it go but last year I placed an order and they e-mailed me saying they would charge shipping because of the coupon used, so I canceled the order...

That free shipping code was unexpected, since I wanted to use the $20 on the Arkham City robin but now I can't might just a few rewards points on it.
