I have discussed with Mike regarding the 1/4 scale bags. I feel that the price that we would have to charge would sound to high to most people. You have to understand, I have $3,000. USD invested into upgrading my Raiders PF (not that I would use any of that to try to get that back -- that spending was a pleasure). I have almost $1,000. USD invested in creating (OK, participating in the creation) of a jacket for the PF (more on that this weekend).
The sidebags are not an easy thing. Miss Lee here in Hong Kong would have to make them, and she is retiring within 6 months. Once she makes them, I have to ship them to Mike for a color upgrade and his awesome leather strap plus
numerous other upgrades that he does. In the end, they wind up costing about $80. USD. (before shipping costs). We know that most people would say that is too much, so we have haven't pursued it any further.
And, at $80. USD, no one involved would be making a penny, actual, I would have to eat the shipping costs from Hong Kong to the States. Then again, Mike and I aren't in this to "make money", we both love Indy and want the most screen accurate items possible. Just like with his new 1/6 scale whips, we are all lucky to have Mike's time & skills. In the end, Mike & I are fans, he has all the talent, I just know the costume lady here in Hong Kong and have BEGGED Mike to pursue the enhanced sidbags for several months.
If someone is really interested, please contact Mike ...
But if it does happen, it would take time.
