Re: Custom "Gantry Floor Panels" from Tony Stark's garage. WIP & Purchase Interest th

I like this one/size. Can it be made without the 'Gantry panels', just plain, like it was in the movie. Wish it would have a hole for the clear tube & holder. But since there is not enough depth, I guess it won't be possible. Would like to display Mark II in his 'test flight' pose.

Some ideas, there is already a dio base for Mark VI but sadly it does not have the clear tube option. For War Machine, maybe a pebbles base could be made.

Something like this for Mark VII.

For Mark V, it could be similar to the Mark VII base.

I could do the plate full size for the MKII. No gantry lines.
It's 14" by 12.5" to fit in a detolf. I could probably also includ the pole stand. I'd just need to make the base slightly thicker.

Like this, right? Plain flooring with just the squares and numbers. Will it be possible in the smaller version? 22x24cm.

P.S.: Thicker base, makes sense.

Sure. I can do that.
If it's to hold a figure it may have to be at least 6mm deep.

Sized to fit a Detolf Shelf. The panel lines for the gantry door panels should be close to the size of the HT Gantry.

What is the best way to paint the lines in? What was your process?

Hey!
The process i used is actually simple enough.
I spray the plate black primer(Maybe five coats, with about 60 seconds of hair dryer action in between each coat) and then leave the plate overnight to properly cure.
Once the paint is fully dried, i use a wide ended scribing tool to scribe the paint from the panel lines(But using a steel rule), back to the original resin colour. As you know, it's a pale pale creamy colour, but against the black, it works just fine as white.
Then i add the numbers.
For the scribing, i scribe each line from the centre out towards the edge. Rather than trying to do each line in one long pass, staring from the centre, and moving outwards means a shorter stroke and enables more control.
I usually make three passes per line, to ensure all the black paint is gone.
You can see the width of the line in these images of the one i made for Eric:

I did consider trying to paint it, but I couldn't think of how to get the scribed lines painted in a uniform manner.
The scribing actually takes less than twenty minutes and is easier than trying to mask it all off.
