Custom Gladiator/Maximus figure?

Hi. Might have to choose the muscular bodies by their colour type, they vary from pale white to a rather orangy tan.

Yeah, I have a Rambo 3 body, so i could use that. But I don't know if that HT Crowe headsculpt's neck will fit on there though...

I looked on ebay for the figure, and there was a seller with the body and head with image posted, the figure has a full neck on the older style HT neck, it's not compatible with the Rambo 3 joint.

I would just go with a standard HT body... You can paint the arms and make them look realistic enough. I did the same on Hicks and it worked great. It's not super buff and I think will look more natural on Maximus.

I'm very interested in the Maximus armor too. I'm surprised the group/person that did the small run of Achilles hasn't done a Maximus.

An alternative is to cut the neck off, add silicon into the head and pop on the head. Tried it once before and it works ok.

I'll have to look for some good clear reference pictures of Maximus with his armor on.
Actually, his armor changes throughout the movie, but I think I'm going to go with the armor he wore during his final battle with Commodus...

Looks great, C-Phan! What did you use to make the armor? Leather?

Looks like the BBI body, leather custom armor.. bits of fabric. And a customized headsculpt, at least the hair and beard. VERY well done.

Yeah, I try this method and I drop it 'cause it was too thin for BBI body. Imagine with Hot Toys muscular body....

I also found a sword from an Ignite Roman soldier on Ebay that would be perfect for Maximus' sword after a custom paintjob..

(And I think there's also a letter-opener version from Denix that could work.)

Got my Hot Toys Russel Crowe headsculpt in today; he looks very nice, good resemblance.
He just needs a custom paintjob ans some work on the neckpost so he'll fit a HT Rambo body...
