OK.. here is one of my overhauled Did brand side bags... I removed the original strap and ditched the metal D rings at the attachment points.. then I built steel O rings at the attachment points like the film used bag and sewed on a silver disc to the side and attached a real leather strap with metal buckle... the strap is already at the correct length to hang properly.. so the buckle is not adjustable but it does create a lower profile across the chest by not having the leather run through the buckle twice.. the end result is a much more realistic looking bag... I am happy with it.... it is pictured on top of an actual British respirator bag so you can see that the color is pretty danged correct as well !

Also note my new design I came up with on my whips two days ago.. I just have not ever been 100% satisfied with the pommel on the handle ( or to be accurate in "whip speak", the "turk's head knot" ) So I sculpted the end piece out of Tamiya clay... end result looks a bit better I guess.... obviously I am not a gifted sculptor... but at least I can sew holsters right :)

A closer shot of the bag....

Strange Wor-Gar.... cadaver is getting the images... wonder why you can't... hmmmmm..... anyway, Cadaver.. that isn't just your bag.. that entire set is yours :)

I'm with Wor-Gar, I need it all too.

Of course, I still need a repaint, some Newlines, and a new shirt, haha.

We all need some newlines ! I emailed him again this week asking when they would ever restock those.. he didn't even bother to answer me this time... not sure what is up with that company regarding the Indy boots... such a shame..

Amazing work as always Mike. I'll definitely have to get me a few of these! :yess:

Any chance you might tackle a 1/4 in this style? :monkey3

I second that emotion!

Figures will certainly benefit from this 1/6 addition!

I have been working on sourcing the right materials for the 1/4 scale whips.... sidebags are doable in 1/4 scale if I would just sit down and play around with the sewing machine I bought 6 years ago and never used.. ( which is a shame because I got a good quality machine ).. plus the bags shouldn't be all that difficult to construct.... always looking for ways to pull in some hobby cash...(wanting to work on expanding my woodshop arsenal :) ). just give me a bit on that guys......

You can definitely count me in for a 1/4 whip when you do them Mike. The 1/6 one you sent me is a work of art ;)

Nice work on the side bag - I made mine with the DID bag the same way - much more accurate.

I need a full set of 1/6 gear, bag, belts, holsters, whip, gonna PM you around the end of the week when I have more cash.

Ya know RollingJ.. if you haven't done so already, I think one of the small details that makes a big difference in converting these bags is making the large steel O ring at the attachment points.. ditch the thin black metal D ring that comes on the Did bag and just make an O ring to replace it....

Take yer time Mike! I'm sure it'll be worth the wait!
