I thought this thread might be interested in this incredible custom on ebay right now #360126577823 listed as a 1/6 custom Jack subway. I missed out on the Chris Howe commission but I'm always on the lookout for any good Jack Torrance figures.

Should have known that this forum would have already picked up this subway version, but I was so blown away by it I had to share it w/someone! So the plan now is to put Chris Howe's sculpt on the subway body? And thanks for the welcome.

After getting the Subway figure today, I am dying to see what Chris can do. The Subway sculpt is actually very impressive in person, but I have faith Chris will top it and give us the perfect head to make the perfect Jack Torrance figure

Anyone catch Robot Chicken tonight? Real short sketch of the best parts of The Shining- really nice customized Jack Nicholson head, very understated mego style. Does Dr. Mego do any work for this show? If so maybe this head will show up on his site

I think Dr Mego supplies everything but the heads. Most of the custom head sculpts are supplied by Plastic Earth. One of the main sculptors they use is Joy Snyder from Joy and Tom Studios. I have visited their studio in Florida a few times. I think they said they have done almost 400 heads for the first 4 seasons of Robot Chicken. The RC heads are mego scale and kind of rough, as the tv production schedule doesn't allow much time for them to perfect the heads. Most of them are sculpted in 4 to 6 hours. Joy's husband and son were set up at NYCC and had some of their 1/6th scale heads on display. I have been begging them to sell me castings of the 60's Batman heads, but they wont budge, as they were commissioned by other customers who ask that no additional casting be made or sold. They occassionally accept private commissions through Plastic Earth, but it depends on their schedule.

Ok, so I'm a little late to this dance, but can I still get in on a Jack? I don't really care what expression, I'm confident Chris will nail it regardless. I'd just love to paint one up. That movie always freaks me out. Please let me know

There is a section of the hotel were someone was alleged to have died. Sounds a little like the movie huh. Anyway, the staff refuse to go there (more likely because its not often used - & seems a little creepy cuz its so quiet). The room in question suddenly becomes quite a bit colder & sometimes aromas like perfume or cologne can be noticed. No bloody walls or freaky kids.

She refused to go down to the room because of this. I mean, the place is huge. I haven't been there in ages but wouldn't mind poking around.

HOWEVER I was at a University in the middle of the night that was said to be haunted. Did hear a child giggle, then heard running (short & fast paces like a child) from the floor above me. Went up to have a look & a bunch of the pictures were askew, not damaged but shifted. Wasn't scary, just odd
