Custom Kurt Cobain (Nirvana) W.I.P. - NEW PICS!!!

Nirvana was one of my favourite bands when I was young and still keep being, so I decided to make this custom Cobain figure.
I sculpted head with Supersculpey and painted it with acrilycs and some pastel colours. Then I added the hair.

I say it's a WIP because it's not final. I would like to find a more close t-shirt to the one Kurt wears at Smells like teen spirits video but I've been unable to find something similar (hope someone of you could help me find it...)
As some of you may know, Kurt Cobain was left-handed when playing guitar, but the only one guitar I had was these one for right-handed guys, I would like to improve that too.

Then if somebody knows where to find a left-handed player guitar or a more closely similar t-shirt please tell me. Thanks!

Awesome figure!!! I've wanted to build a Cobain figure for quite a while now myself but it's just always been on the backburner due to lack of the right parts out there. Nirvana was one of my all-time favorite bands too.


Excellent work, I'm really digging it.

I guess "tender love" is a pretty subjective term

Guess so. Really any adjective is subjective. So..... yeah. I still think his face looks too sentimental and love sick. Good sculpt but the expression is not Kurt.

@Aneses: Do you have your reference photo you used for this sculpt?

You really don't have to look for a "lefty" guitar... Kurt would sometimes play a right-handed guitar strung for a lefty and played "upside-down." In fact, he learned to play guitar like that because he couldn't afford a left-handed version.

Seeing the ref pic I can see what you are going for a bit better now. I would still tweak it a bit. I hope you didn't feel like I was just slagging you off here. I genuinely like it.

A left-handed guitar would be nice, but that's a minor nit-pic.
