I thought this show was a breath of fresh air. It was just fun for the sake of fun. I enjoyed the playful nature of the adventures. My 11 year old really enjoyed it, and I really enjoyed watching it with him. Based on viewership numbers, I don't expect to see any more adventures from the Skeleton Crew though.

Great to hear your 11 year old loved it. At the end of the day, the show is for them (the little ones). (y)

There is not one kid in my sons large circle of friends, school mates or sports clubs that is interested in Star Wars or for that matter movies in general.

They are all into short form digital entertainment, videogames, sports and T&A.

Any possible second season with the same four kids and Jude Law flying around and getting into trouble would make zero sense.

It would feel as contrived as the multiple Die Hard sequels...."How can the same thing keep happening to the same guy?"

Not that something like that would stop Disney if they saw profit in it.

But that's mainly because you're a terrible parent and role model. And apparently so am I lol...

Jude Law can show up anywhere. The character was pretty fun and I can see him working for hire for just about anyone. Seeing him pop up in Mando or working for Thrawn in the crossover would sense. I think a season 2 that focused on the kids could work. I'm sure that being acclimated to New Republic life will have some opportunity for light hearted adventure. But with low viewership, I don't expect a season 2.

There's a lot of opportunity for a follow up show of some kind. At Attin has just been minting coinage for the past 20+ years? There could probably be a show about a fledgling government suddenly finding itself with a destabilizingly large amount of cash. Everybody wants to spend it, but they all know doing so would cripple the barely on its legs economy. Will they let that stop them? Veep in Space. Ryder Azadi would be a fun anchor character for something like that. Maybe Hondo Ohnaka shows up seeking his share of reparations as well through some complicated scheme.

I don't think anything will ever feel as contrived as those Die Hard sequels.

And I can easily see the kids flying off on another adventure together, maybe to rescue someone or get help again. And they'd probably run into Jod along the way, although there would clearly be a very different dynamic this time. I do think it might be more interesting if the kids were 4-5 years older though, and a bit more mature.

They have said they already have an idea for a second season and a time jump was factored in as the kids would be noticeably older. What exactly that might be though, they haven’t said.

But you’re right that the reveal of At Attin as real and housing a lot of republic currency ought to play a role in other Mando era series if they don’t continue it directly with another season of Skeleton Crew. That’s probably the biggest impact this show would have, or at least it should. I could see Mon Mothma working to keep At Attin a secret.

Jude Law as Dark Jedi, working for the Empire remnants, something like Aphra for Vader. Dewit!
They pretty much confirmed he only knows how to push and pull things with the Force. He couldn’t hold back Wim’s dad very well so he’s not going to be lifting X-wings out of swamps or pulling Star Destroyers from orbit anytime soon. He’s not even a padawan. He’s merely force sensitive and had minimal guidance and training. I don’t see him being a big force player without a mentor, which there isn’t one unless he connects up with Palpatine… somehow.

I know, I saw the least episode. Which only makes me want this even more. I don't want another Starkiller, but force sensitive charismatic pirate is pretty much everything we need. And nowhere is writer that he can't get new powers and get better with it.
