Great work on your Episode 1 Obi-Wan there Roc74! I love it! :D

I want to get one of those great heads of him from sunohc someday and make my own Ep 1 Ob-Wan. I'd like to have all the different incarnations of Obi-Wan we've seen from all the times they showed him in the Star Wars movies.

What I might do is buy another ROTS Obi-Wan and just use that. Jut change out a couple things and it should be good.

As far as the lightsaber what I was thinking about using was one of my other Qui-Gon lightsabers.

It feels like Christmas today. I got my Spooktacular guard prize and my package from Toy Anxiety to finish my TPM Obi Wan.

Close up of the faces with repaints. I didn't like the yellowish Tone Qui Gon had.

"Whats the name of the Jedi on Hoth?"
"Yes."

How did you make the lightsaber?

I got my head yesterday and it looks very nice. I like the way the braids are done as well. All in all, a very nice sculpt, if not a dead-on likeness.

Styrene tubing. Some tedious cutting but overall just one sliding into the other layer by layer.

Your Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan look great Anzik! I'll get a head from sunohc someday for my Ep. 1 Obi-Wan custom....

Thanks guys. I couldn't bring myself to use the Hasbro items on Obi Wan so I had to do a little work.
I used an Oz body which I think works well with the height issue. Next I put my Hasbro portrait edition clothes on Qui Gon. Obi Wan is using Qui Gon's robes with a Plo Koon undershirt and boots. I made the belt out of leather and the lightsaber out of plastic.
Unfortunately, at some point Obi Wan's head fell and the ponytail broke off and is lost so I will have to make my own.

Thanks Jedi Mike.

Anzik nice Obi wan! And that lightsaber came out very good, would you mind going in depth a little more how you made this?

Hey guys - who do I need to contact about getting an Obi-Wan head? And AH how did you make the lightsaber? That is really cool looking.

Just a note - I'd try RIT dye color remover instead of bleach. It will be less damaging. However I don't know that it will work on every type of cloth.

Cool! Thnx Dave. Might be willing to try that.

One caveat - the dye remover will take the material to it's original color. If it was naturally brown, then the dye remover won't do anything. But I've yet to come across a fabric where it didn't remove some or all the color.

This might save you a little trouble:

When I put my figure together, I wanted to use a second set of Qui-gon clothes that I had -- I wanted to change the brown/tan clothes to white/off white. But I tried bleach and then RIT color remover (the boil on the stove method) and neither one did a darned thing. In the end I used the white parts from Mace Windu's outfit, although the ROTS Obi-wan is of course another good choice.
