Ah, the battle of board members in the same town... who will reign supreme? In this corner well versed in repaints and custom frame making... Cocoboloboy!

In this corner, awesome in every way and adored by the masses... Galactiboy!!!

Who will reign supreme, who will own The Penguin?

Evidently neither as we appear to be too cheap :lol I mean c'mon man, standard of living in OK is a bit lower :lol

Not only is the Penguin a fantastic custom, but you did an excellent job photographing it as well. The indirect back lighting helps highlight the figure.

Here is.... Dracula.

DUDE!!! That is a show-off piece.

Wow, hope you are happy with that price! Well deserved though, great custom

I am very happy with how well Pengers did. I had faith in him, and i miss him already....

I took some pics of him with The joker to commemorate his passing from my ownership. I'll post em soon. Oh, and I will NEVER sell my Joker. Not ever!!!

It's gonna be me, a cardboard box, and my Joker.

Re: Paint

Glad you like my stuff! I use acrylics. I spray white primer on the figure so the acrylic paint sticks better, than I do a thin coat a few shades darker than I want the figure to be. THen I usually do a thick wash with taupe or deep portrait pink (dpp). Once that's done, it'sa just layers of drybrushing lighter and lighter shades of the skin color til I'm happy.
For the eyes, I paint the sockets taupe or dpp, then paint half the eye white and half tan or off-white. I don't know why it works, but it does. Then a circle of a very dark shade of the eye color. Then another smaller circle of that color mixed with mostly white to get a very light shade. Then the black dot for the pupil.
Then spray lightly with clear matte varnish.
After that, I add clear gloss acrylic to eyes and lips.
Hair is done pretty much the same way. If it's slick hair, Like Drac's, I drybrush clear gloss acrylic
on it to give it a sheen.

Sorry for the deep quote, but what brand matte varnish do you use? I need a new varnish and the heads you've painted for me are the perfect level of matte.

I'm running out of my matte varnish and can't find one of those model gaming stores. You know the ones I mean? Anyway, that's where I get it.

Anyway, I've got some new pics I wanted to share of various projects being worked on (and to dig my thread out of obscurity.)
