Well, you can get some Aves Apoxie at their homepage(https://www.avesstudio.com/) and it gets shpped to you for a reasonable pirce. The cheapest you can get them, about the same on eBay.com

Or if you just want to sculpt:
Just get some Super Sculpey at your local Michaels store or Hobby Lobby store.

Super Sculpey is usually the peach color version that comes in a green and white box, while the Original sculpey is more pliable and comes in a white box, white clay.

I recommend Super sculpey, or FIMO and they are both regularly available at about any arts and crafts store.

I usually buy mine from monsters in motion ( monstersinmotion.com ) in california, but occasionally I come across it at a few hobby shops.

I'd just like to add:
I've heard that FIMO is much softer than Super Sculpey. It's also a bit more toxic because it has more Plasticizer in it (what makes it soft) so use latex gloves when handling Sculpey or FIMO (I bought mine from Home Depot for $5 or something). My preference is for a stiffer material so I'd stick with Sculpey which I usually work when it's mostly cured.
Also you'll want to make some Gray Sculpey by mixing Black Sculpey III into some Super Sculpey or white Sculpey III. The Gray color makes it easier to see when you work (something I wish I knew when I first started sculpting) because regular Super Sculpey is a transparent flesh color. I've also heard that Sculpey III is the same stuff as Super Sculpey.

Could the Sculpey III be more pliable because it's a smaller block? Also, did Sculpey come back out with Gray Sculpey? Last I heard it was discontinued.
I heard Andy mention somewhere that he uses a Sculpey or another polyclay that's made for sculptors and is a bit firmer, I'd like to know where he buys it.

Well when I was mixing both the super sculpey and sculpey III, the sculpey III seemed more pliable but I bet they're meant to be the same lol.

I think Andy still uses Super Sculpey as shown on his tutorials but he finsihes with wax anyways. He uses Casteline for the hair because its firmer and holds by itself.

There's also something called ProSculpt that he might use.
Its pretty good but usually for people who make faeries and like to retain the original clay color.

Firmer, you don't have to mix it, and cheap too!
Maybe with this stuff I'll complete more projects.

I know all about Casteline, it comes in three different hardnesses, and it would be ideal for hair and reworking close to final sculpts. It's what I hear all the pros use in the toy sculpting industry. But you have to work it differently with heat and it takes some getting use to, so I'll put off trying that stuff for now.

A great day has arrived, along with my HT bodies! Not being one to waste time(no laughter, please) I quickly got to work on suiting up George.

Still working on his head, but I thought the world should see what the HT bodies are capable of. The trouble an old Capt. Action costume can inspire(dig that cape flutter!)...PS
