Re: Customizing Freddy Krueger

Hey, nice stuff Agonistes! I just picked up an original Freddy and a FvJ Freddy and plan on sprucing them up when they arrive. I was searching for sweater tips when I came across this head. :rock

Looks great so far... and sometimes good work takes time :duff

Thanks guys. I got my body the other day, and also have the metal sheets, but haven't started work on the blades yet. Will hopefully have some time this weekend.

Re: Customizing Freddy Krueger

Finally an update on my Freddy.
I got a hat, but it turns out it was too big. I modified it a bit and painted it, but I'm still not 100% happy with. Perhaps I'll get a new one.
I weathered the pants, although they could still use some more.
I also weathered the sweater, but thanks to Terminator_Fan_Game, I finally have a Mezco sweater on the way to me. :)
And last but not least, I started work on the glove. I repositioned the index finger, and started working on the metal blades. I'm using a 0,3mm metal sheet, which can be cut with an ordinary pair of scissors. I've already got more blades done, but I want to have some perfect ones before I glue them on.
I wasn't a big fan of Sideshow's left hand, so I replaced that one, too. I still have to add the burned skin with sculpey, and repaint it.

Re: Customizing Freddy Krueger

That is a very cool Freddy. I don´t find the hat to be too big, I like it a lot...Great work!

Re: Customizing Freddy Krueger

Looks REALLY nice! I think youve done an excellent job with that horrible sideshow sweater actually.
The fit looks much better now - not too baggy, and not too tight.
I do hope you like the Mezco sweater once it arrives. It does come a little tight IMO, but other than that its a great sweater.
Again, great work my friend.

EDIT - Which hat are you using, by the way? I think it works really well.
It kind of looks like this hat that I bought for another custom Im working on, but Im not too sure -

Thanks man.
Actually, this is the hat I used: https://www.ebay.de/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270800356126&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:DE:1123
I cut off quite a bit of the brim and painted it brown.

Thanks man. Yeah, I can most likely sell you the sweater. :) I want to wait for the new sweater so I'm 100% percent sure, so I'll send you a PM when I've decided.

Re: Customizing Freddy Krueger

That there is a film still, ya big phoney!

:hi5: Not quite there yet, but hopefully it will be at the end. ;)

Glove looks excellent! Great job, my friend! :clap

Thanks man. I think your sweater arrived today, but I was at work so I have to pick it up tomorrow at the post-office. :slap

Damn! That's, pardon the pun, sharp.

:lol Thanks.

I'm thinking of adding some light blood splatter to the blades, but I'm afraid I'll overdo it and have to start over again.

Awesome! A cool touch for your glove would be to add the index finger blade break.
If you watch all of this video, they show it in detail -

Its something I will be doing for sure.

By the way, thats the ORIGINAL glove that they present to Robert Englund!!! It was sold in an aution as a part 4 glove I think...it sold for really cheap too.

Thanks a lot for the vid, I always enjoy watching behind the scenes stuff like this. I'm not particularly going for screen accuracy though, so the break is not something I'll add. Looking very forward to your Freddy though.

agonistes, nice photo.

Thanks. :)

And now finally, my finished Freddy. :D
Been a while in the making, but I finally finished him. I might still add some more weathering here and there, and might close that rip in the neck area, but other than that he's done.
