I'll ask here since most of the customizers should be here. Should the DC, Indy, and Horror sections all have their own Customs subforum like Star Wars does?

If we do that, what exactly is this forum for?

Let me know your thoughts.

I say yes. This forum has so many threads added that its easy to miss a post because they get moved to down too quickly.

i say yes....more people get to see the great work who wouldnt normally check the customs section

i had my william wallace thread deleted from the general section the other day

while i dont have a problem with the deletion i dont see the harm in it since it is a general topic and more people would get to see it

JMHO :)

Hi Dave,

I'm personally a fan of double posting. I post everything I do in my own customs thread, but I also like to make sure those most interested in the subject of my custom see it in its most appropriate thread.

I would not mind if each section had its own customs sub, but I like it better when things are mixed up in other sections so you always have something unexpected showing up, not just the licensed stuff people reply 100s of 40-post pages worth about.

If each section has its own sub custom forum, I think there is still value here in this forum since customs can be anything, and not just stuff that needs to fall into a genre. Likewise, it's nice to come here knowing I'm going to see unlicensed stuff. This forum is like a box of chocolates...

Also, this forum is for people like myself who are prolific in customizing and painting who like to showcase the sum of their work in one location where fans know where to find it and can check back regularly to see what we've done lately.

I don't see a problem with custom subs and feel this forum would still have value, but I went ahead and voted 'No. It's fine the way it is.' This site works for me as is. If it aint broke...

I'm not saying to close this section - but it might make it confusing for a newbie if we have custom subforums in DC, Indy and Star Wars. So where do you post your new Marvel custom? In the Marvel section? Here?

And with HT releasing Spiderman, Thor and Captain America all on each others heels, I would expect to see some action in Marvel.

You can currently post customs in each section ? i.e Marvel/DC/Disney etc ? I thought this section was strictly for customs and such :p .

Anyways, it will indeed confuse newbies to have different custom sections on each forum. I say stay the way it is and I also think customs should be in this "customs section", just to have it all well organized.

Also, some topics fall too quickly into the second page and people do not read the second page that often, I know I don't, so is there a possibility to make each page hold more topics/threads before going into the second page ?, right now it holds 20 threads per page, it would be cool to make it 30 at least or 40 wth, hehe. just like how the OSW forums has it now.

Eh... I only visit the custom forum. I may have no interest in ever owning any horror figures, but that doesn't mean I don't click on the topics here to look at them.

I'd have to go all over this place to see all the great work people do? I don't like that one bit. Double post like Silver Surfer said but keep this here please!

Never change a running system.

But I like the suggestion from Seb with the separate interest/work areas.

All the customs should be moved in here. This is 'Customs & Original Art Discussion'. How does that not cover everything and all that is customs? One stop is where it's at.

The problem with the one stop shop is people are more interested in subject matter, not with customs in general.

I don't care at all about custom comic book figures for example, but I do like custom SW and LOTR and Indy and GI Joe.

Its easier to be able to go to the specific forum to find that. That said, I'm mostly a watcher of customs and not a contributor.
