I have a few ideas that may or may not answer some of gents concerns.

Regarding the proportions, some of the people here are concerned that Scott's lower body isn't proportional but I think that it might be because of the choice that Sideshow made. By giving Scott "granny panties" as some mentioned makes his legs appear shorter.

As for the tip-toing, in my opinion it is to soften the recoil that the optic blasts produces.

These are just my opinions, not facts.
Like most of the people on this thread, I myself have pre-ordered the EX even though I'm not a big fan of the alternate head. Right now I am just hoping that the actual product doesn't look as bad as it did with Sideshow's production photos but I'm loving everything else about this piece. Just my 2 cents. :wink1:

WTH are you talking about? Are you really going to say that putting the helmet on the back of the base was the best idea and are you going to say that his EX head sculpt is top quality? You notice that the post about the EX head isn't there. Don't come here and be a mindless Sideshow fanboy. :ccheerlea

I only did one post here about the goofiness of putting Magneto's helmet on the back of the base and the shape of Cyclops' mouth. Do a search of my posts in this thread and you will see 95%+ of them very, very positive. I have begging Sideshow for this exact statue for several years before you joined these boards, so don't judge me for hoping that they improve it.

My comment wasn't directed solely at you. I apologize because I can see how you could take it that way. Just to clarify, I am not a mindless SS fanboy. I do think that some people love to come on here and complain about every little thing with every statue SS produces. It gets pretty silly sometimes because some people have these extremely high and unrealistic expectations for these statues. Your comment about Magneto's helmut on the back is something that I would never have thought to complain/comment about. Who cares what is on the back of the statue? Like you said, you are going to be displaying it facing front and won't be able to see it anyway. Why get so worked up over it? Do you expect SS to actually answer your question? Why post back on here that SS didn't post your comments? What are we supposed to do about it? There could have been a big steaming pile of Cyclops' turd back there and as long as I don't see it when it is displayed, then I don't care about it. I can see people getting upset over the EX head sculpt because that is a point of focus for the statue. I actually like it. I give SS credit for giving Cyclops some emotion with the sculpt. Is it perfect? No. Will it ever be? Not to everyone.

Anyways, we could go on and on about this, but let's just agree to disagree. :peace

Recognized your Hulk vs Spidey Ex on ebay.....nice. Too bad the price is beyond me atm.

Yeah, all of my stuff is overpriced but everyone gets their stuff. I inspect everything. I still have about 100 statues and figures I am keeping but need to get rid of some stuff I don't care for anymore or outgrew. The really high priced ones are ones I loathe to part with but will part with at that price. Thanks for looking tho'.

He sculpted the Thanos diorama. He also did all of the Spider-Man related legendary scale busts.

Oh, that explains why I really liked the Thanos. I don't collect busts so haven't paid attention to them. Thanks for clearing that up. It's strange how one can unconsciously like a certain person's art without realizing it. Pablo hit Thanos out of the park, it looks great.

I got the exclusive, but will likely get rid of it after I shoot it.

don't get me wrong, the Jim Lee thing doesn't bother me as much as the idea of having an X-Men PF collection focused in only one era (Emma Frost aside).

The Lee head for Gambit makes the piece, and no doubt the Rogue will look good. In the case of Rogue though, they could give it alternate hands and a trench coat to give it a 2000's look as well as the 90's look.

light up features, removable jacket, good visor portrait....overall turned out very solid. Not a fan of the alternate portrait but no big deal.

The legs may look a little disproportionate in the pictures but I think they will look fine in hand. I remember pictures of the Captain America PF made the legs look a little weird because of the similar stance, but not in hand. The Cap PF ultimately is perfection in hand.
