Been way too long so I started working on Amanaman again. Here are some progress shots from the past few weeks.
I re-sculpted the upper arms and shoulder sockets to accept the neodymium sphere & disc magnets for ?articulation? - holds a pose wherever the weight of the hands lay. Also threw some extra wrinkles into his elbows.
Armatures added prior to sculpting the fingers.
Installed cylinder magnets for the hands and wrists.
Puttied over with minor sculpting to better fit each other - not seamless but I figure the paint and pose will hide that. The wrists can turn but since they are axial magnets it is only a 360 swivel.
For his left hand I aimed for the palm-up position that holds the corpse... that and him holding the bottom of the staff are the only 2 positions I have seen him in (TaliBane?) so this guy can do both
...and finally ready for paint. Excuse the mess ...and my lil helper
So very happy that Cagoda created one of my favorite background characters
Next step, to tackle the 3 skulled staff.
