Danbury mint to do minas tirith

Last I checked a plate does not jive with this description on the earlier post:

"Our replica captures Minas Tirith in extraordinary detail,
this sculpture boasts a shining LED that dramatically illuminates the White Tower"

With that said, how can a plate have an LED on it??? That would really look cheesy! I say we're still waiting for pics of the sculpture.

has nothing in their system for a Minas Tirith Sculpture. She said
to try back next week.

Danbury is making a Minas Tirth PLATE based on the Ted Nasmith Artwork, not an environment.

The card/form i have for MT reads "please accept my reservation for minas tirith from lord of the rings BUILDINGS COLLECTION"
and the letter states MT as a companion for Barad.

Is a Plate a building???

I'm not trying to be a jerk about it so please don't take it as such, but when I come forth with new info that no one else has ever heard before about a product I tend to provide proof rather than just saying it and not posting any pics or anything.

Can you simply scan the card and letter so WE can see them please?
If you can provide those it'll put ALOT of doubt to rest.

Just for the record what I said IS true. They are making aplate based off the art work as they did with the one above, not a building based on the artwork.

I was speaking soley in the interest of myself so take your confrontational attitude somewhere else. I never said it was required, I said I do that, not that everyone has to, but it helps when people see things rather than just being told about it.

The reason for my wanting to SEE it is because DM says they having NOTHING PLANNED for such an item. So this thread is NOT sufficient enough for me, I want to see some proof. Feel free to blindly believe what you want and by the way I heard WETA is planning to start the LOTR line back up and are planning to release a FULL Fellowship version line of statues!

It seems that Danbury isn't the most organized so if it is true I'm not surprised that CS doesn't know about it.

I second Dave on that. I've been awarethat DM already has the plate. If they do come out with the sculpture, that would be a good sign, since that means there's a good chance that they can release Orthanc . . .

So, now they've got us where the wanted us - can DB at least confirm? Maybe wetayourself could send a scan of the ad by fax to their marketing department in a confrontational manner to find out if it is a stupid plate or an actual sculpture.

My hopes are up when I read about the DB "buildings collection". If they actually do do an Orthanc I will cave in and get Barad Dur as well, and I bet I wouldn't be the only one. You reading this, Danbury?! Or isn't this company on the make?

I reckon they are only planning to make it, or it's still in the early stages at the moment.

The reservation thing is prob just to gauge the response from customers to see how popular will it be? Prob would take a few more months to see any pics or it being offered on sale.
