I think this is going to be the nicest custom I have. The suit and gun and pose I have it in is going to be awesome. I busted my ass on the base and it turned out great! I'm really happy with it. I've tried painting and I'm not that good but I found I can do bases well. I kept it classy with a bit of ruggedness.

I'm actually a little concern. Sometimes an unpainted sculpt may look really good, but once painted, loses it's resemblance of the subject. I wonder if it's possible for Susala to show us both unpainted and painted versions of the final sculpt. What do you guys think?

I think that's the fault of the painter.

I don't disagree, I have seen some decent sculpts totally corrupted by bad paint apps. Not only here, but by big companies too... Sideshow, Bowen... I don't think it's Sus' responsibility to show how good it would look with paint, as her skills will not equate to what you have done per se'.

Just choose your painter .... "wisely"

and me! :rock

As far as the paint job goes, usually if a paint job ruins a sculpt it more than likely because of the paint being too thick. I know HT's Bruce Wayne head looks more like Bale when repainted with thiner paint. It's all in the paint,it can make or break a sculpt. I think that with this sculpt if the paint looks bad then it's a bad paintjob and nothing to do with the sculpt or cast.

Thanks for all your feedback. Much appreciated!

I recently saw Longbow's Jason Bourne HS and it looks pretty damn good (totally Matt Damon). But later I saw a painted version and I noticed he looks really old. I have to say the paint apps were pretty good (I'm still trying to find the pics I saw and will upload it for you guys to judge). So I was glad I didn't buy it.

Anyways, this made me more cautious with wanting to see the final painted version first before buying unpainted sculpts.

If you are comparing anything to a Longbow sculpt, I can see why you are freaking out. Their sculpts are overdone way before paint hits them. Paint can try to help those sculpts, but it very rarely succeeds.

I bought one of those. Not painted yet, so not sure what it will look like done. It looked good in hand tho. I also got in contact with the guy who originally started that project and I actually got him to cast me a headsculpt in the form it was in before he turned the project over to longbow, so I'm hoping that one's even better. The images make it look a lot better.

I've never seen any of the Bourne movies but heard they were great. I'd buy one if I liked the movies but I won't spend money on anything that I haven't seen or don't like.

I got a feeling Sus is busy but after getting the silicon she needed she's gonna be casting away to make us happy :)
