Is that supposed to be metal showing through his wounds? I thought it was just wet from blood but it looks more silvery/chrome

So that giant pothole that Fisk has repaired rightaway, is that a reference to an earlier MCU project? When I saw the scene, for some reason my mind went straight to it being damage done by Doc Ock in No Way Home. But could just be that the whole daylight lighting in the scene reminded me a bit of the NWH bridge scene.
