I think this place will be so exciting as each episode is released, new figures get shown hopefully too.

Except it's Hot Toys, so the figure releases will probably be something like

Week #1: Agatha Harkness / Detective Agnes O'Connor 2-Pack;
Week #2: Wiccan;
Week #3: Mrs. Hart;
Week #4: Wendle (Wim's Dad in Skeleton Crew);
Week #5: KB & Fern;
Week #6: Foggy Nelson;
etc., etc..

I know it's unlikely, but I'm really hoping they just ignore the MCU completely and pretend it's still a self-contained Netflix series. I have no need for any cameos or references to other characters or events.

If I see anything slightly cosmic or above street level in this show I’m turning it off. Kamala’s dad is in the show, if she shows up and does anything but say hi and leave then I’m out.

Likely implies HT will be putting out some new figures:

So far from what we've seen, I Imagine DD (new(ish) costume) and the GiJoe Beach-Head-Bullseye (sans-bullseye) will get figures.
This production has a fear of comic themed logos.
Not sure what Castle will be wearing throughout? His classic logo seems to have been apropriated by maybe a paramilitary or police unit, so he might abandon it? Hopefully the narrative is him reclaiming it, not surrendering it.

While I'm a great fan of the characters and story telling, of the series (enjoyed it more than most of Marvel's output). Other than Castle's, not a great fan of any of the costumes in it. So far the only one I've bought is the final showdown proto-suit Zorro look, with the wrapped bloody fists. And I think that was Soosoo not HT.
Though I know he's meant to evolve from it, still may favorite from the show.

Not really that interested in Muse conceptually or visually. And White Tiger (Hector Ayala) while I loved the character and the Sons of the Tiger back in the 70s, seems he's just here to die, and give DD angst to come back into the fight. If he gets a figure (or interest from me), might depend on how he is used.

Would love to see Elektra back, loved Élodie Yung's take, and a chance at an updated costume. Though I think they might be done with her story.
So far the only Defenders chapters I watched, was to see her fate.

Agree, I really hope like Netflix S1-S3, you can still watch this stand-alone without having to know or reference anything from the Cinematic U.
I kinda don't want to hear anything about the snappyverse, multimaniana-temporal-cosmic-blips, or infinite-void-spaghetti-variants, in this series.

Yeah I think the costumes work great on the show and fit the more grounded style, but they don't make for particularly cool looking figures unfortunately.

I actually really like the Daredevil costume. More so than the Netflix one now.

Punisher looks like Punisher.

Bullseye and White Tiger are both 100% dying very early on. I bet Matt even kills bullseye himself and that's the line that was crossed.

Marvel would be so damn based if they made him hunt Spiderman in the fourth movie somehow. Enough of that cosmic alternate spidermen crap. It's getting old.

Didn't quite follow all the drama, yet my understanding is they didn't even split it into two.
More like after firing everyone involved, they cut down a full season that was apparently mostly unusable, and pared it down to what amounted to only 9 episodes of salvageable material left. (with some new content shot, to make it somewhat cohesive).
And are calling that a season.

Not sure why they didn't just use the last Netflix creative crew out the gate?
I guess Disney thought they had to reinvent "fix" DD for their audience (ie the more Shulk camp, and clowning Kingpin as in Hawkeye, etc)

So while I won't be surprised if Disney completely botched this, hopefully (and from the looks of it they did course correct), they are back to catering to the Netflix series audience, and what made the show and character work

S2 however will apparently be all new material (not part of the salvaged S1 split into two), so the announcement, if it pans out, does at least bode well.

Yeah I'm a little worried about how smoothly they were able to integrate the original footage and storyline with the new stuff that was filmed. But the showrunner did a great job with the Punisher series so hopefully he's got the skills to make it all work.

And hopefully we'll get a lot more Karen and Foggy in S2, as they apparently don't appear much in the first season.

For $24 you can watch without paying D+.
