Sure, Frank Miller went off the rails, but the dude literally gave me my favorite version of Batman and DD in the 80’s.

Favorite Punisher Runs for me is Zeck Grant Mini series, Lee Potts War Journal tied with Portacio Baron Punisher in 88 and the Ennis

Yeah that mini series from Steven Grant and zeck is my favorite punisher run by far. The portacio stuff was quite memorable though. He was a unique artist. I enjoyed some of war journal but thought the regular comic series wasn't great. War zone penciled by jrjr was ok from my vague recollection. I frankly haven't read much in recent years beyond a tpb collection of him from civil war I picked up.

Yeah I'm rewatching the Netflix series now and it's amazing how much storytelling gets fit into every episode compared to the Disney+ stuff. It's really like getting a full meal as opposed to a light snack.
