Same, it's pretty bad. I wish the cowl was better, it would improve the whole thing.

In general if the costumes are bad it won't matter if season 2 is as good as season 1.

Yeah comic books transitions....

His mask bothers me the most. He would look a lot better with that old mask but in red.

Nah, the transition has nothing to do with it, it's just a bad design.

It's not even red anymore, they just told him it was red and he believed it.

I'm absolutely fine with Frank so far.
"The Punisher" had balanced Bradstreet aesthetics.
"War Zone" had giant OTT unstoppable killing machine.
Now we have a chance to see casual, realistic even, Castle.
Bernthal has this psychopathic attitude and, as a result, menacing on-screen presence.
He's also as tall as Thomas Jane. :lol

Daredevil's costume is the same crap from S1 finale. Blegh...

Even less than the outfit, I just don't dig the do. I feel like he'd have looked infinitely better with the slicked back hair he had in The Wolf of Wall Street.

I don't know. Nothing about it screams "Punisher" to me. ****, even Lundgren rocked the all-black, trench coat wearing crazy person thing, skull or not, but this just looks like...some guy. :lol

this just looks like...some guy. lol
Pretty much why I like it.
Something completely different works better because Bernthal isn't good for a comic book Punisher.
Also, it's a nice contrast - regular ex-military guy against costumed vigilante.

Admittedly, there's a part of me that feels like "if the Punisher was real in 2015, would he really be walking around NYC looking like a member of the Trenchcoat Mafia?" And then I tell myself, "well, maybe not, but Daredevil's got a costume," and then I say, "well, yeah, but Daredevil's ****ing blind. How the hell would he know if he looked like a maniac or not?" So, I'm sort of back and forth with it.

Is there a particular reason he had the skull T-Shirt in the comics? I know with the Jane film, his son gave it to him (which, honestly, is actually kind of great and explains why a grown *** man is wearing an exxxxxtreme skull T-Shirt that looks like something an angsty twelve year old would pick out, since, you know, one did :lol), and I chalked up his '70s outfit to "everyone needs a costume in the silver age."

Yeah I have no doubt Bernthal will give a great performance.

That's good to know. I'm not familiar with the actor, but I'm glad Punisher is in good hands because I love the character. Charlie Cox was absolutely perfect casting for Matt, and while I wish he had a red costume, I'm going to love him as long as he's well written. I know you aren't a fan of a lot of Marvel's costumes (I think they're great outside of Avengers Captain America), but with this Daredevil, I don't think I would know who he was if I didn't know he was supposed to be Daredevil.

My only concern was Vincent D'onofrio because I thought he came off as cartoonish in the first season, which is a shame because I thought he was really well written. Hopefully, my feelings change! I still loved the first season!

I still think that D'onofrio was great, both him and Fisk were the only thing I cared about after Ep6.

I hope we get a skull on his shirt by the end.

This. I'm hoping there is an evolution to his outfit, and we at least get the skull shirt by the end. I don't really care if they don't do the entire comic book costume, white boots and all, but I hope we at least get the classic Punisher emblem.

It was like if Lennie from Of Mice and Men was a homicidal sociopath, and I thought it worked brilliantly. Was it different from what everyone was expecting? Yeah, but, for what it was, I thought it was an excellent performance with a lot of layers that seem to have slipped right by some people.

I thought he was perfectly written, but you may be right. I've read so many Kingpin comics, and it could have hindered me from appreciating his performance. When I first heard Bane in the Dark Knight Rises, I had a similar reaction to Tim Hardy. I hated it and called it cartoonish, but when I watched the film again in 2013, I loved it. Now that I know what to expect, I might really like D'onofrio's take!
