Hellsaint has come for my soul...
For a first figure, I have to say Darkcrown did an admirable job. While not flawless, it's a nice figure. The sculpting detail is VERY well done. The Leatherette is well detailed and feels like high quality.
He comes with great accessories, namley:
Solid metal sickle
Dagger with Acrylic blade and solid metal handle.
Plastic cane with metal head and end caps.
Plastic locket with pictures
4 extra hands
Undead raven
Wicked top hat
Light up base with remote control.
Illustrated storybook.
First I'll get the nits out of the way...
-The sickle is awesome detail but is solid metal and heavy as hell. I'm afraid prolonged display will weaken the wrist and elbow joints, but who knows.
-The hands that can hold handles are both right hands, no left...so...you can't have him hold his cane AND dagger at the same time.
-the remote works but is honestly on the cheap side, very light, weak plastic.
-the neck joint is A LITTLE loose on mine but still holds the head okay.
-Shoulder articulation is limited by the heavy coat.

The good things however make up for the minor downsides:
-Awesome detail
-Quality accessories and LOTS of them.
-The hands swapping is easy.
-Access to the light up head is painless.
-Packaging is very good quality
-A unique character with storyline that I'm looking forward to reading in the included 50 page illustrated book.
On the whole I'm glad I picked this figure up on Amazon , I would love to see a full blown review with high quality pictures

Got my HellSaint in last night. I liked that with the foam I kept pulling up layers and seeing that there was more stuff in the box. A very impressive figure with a lot going on. It's a little painful playing with him as EVERYTHING is sharp. The light in the skull are nice and bright - very eerie. Unfortunately the light in my base would not light up. I tried a bunch of different batteries and switch positions, nothing worked - not even a glimmer. So we'll see if they can fix that.

Mine has just arrived! Still boxed, so I can't say anything about the content yet. But, man, an expensive figure and $80 custom fees in addition...

Dave, when you speak about batteries, do you mean the batteries in the base?

Because out of the box, I had the exact same problem. Then I just realized that every batteries were included, except those for the base... I felt stupid, but hey, these things happen.

Okay, the responded quickly. You not only have to turn on the switch on the base, but use the remote. It seems only the middle button on the remote does anything, but it did turn on the base - so no problems here. Very cool figure.

Yes, using the remote is necessary. The other two buttons work too. They brighten or soften the glow.

I love how this figure turned out. The details and craftsmanship are great. I'm debating on selling mine though. I've had him on display since I got him, and he is my only non-movie, comic, or video game character. If I had enough money for my upcoming preorders at Sideshow I'd probably not question keeping him. He looks amazing though. So it is a hard choice to make.

I like seeing the pictures people have taken. There are some good ones out there and here.
