opened up #58 today and he's incredible...but the pics of the gold proto pants on the box are mocking me!! gawd they woulda looked so much better. it's kinda like how recently, i was going thru my comic collection to organize a bit, and every now and then i'd come across a beautiful old sliver or golden age gem in sweet shape. no spine stress, squared corners, just awesome shape. definitely a VF+ to NM...except that some dillweed had signed his name in a corner. just breaks your heart. that's how those pants are. very distracting.

i no longer have the movie but can someone tell me which pants are more accurate to the movie? gold or denim?

if the pants come off i think im gonna go with leather

I have the movie ripped to my hard disk and I was curious, so I quickly scrubbed through the whole movie, and it's damned hard to find a shot of him that includes his lower body. There are a couple, but you can't see much in the way of detail. The best seemed to be at the end when he's sucked into the light, and it looked like the denim version could be a reasonable approximation of that look.

By the way, I find it a little strange that you could spend $300+ on a collectible for a movie you don't even like enough to own.

The problem with the pants is there is really no quality reference material. Nothing of the original leggings are left from the movie, and there are pretty much no quality photos of the costume in good lighting. I think Sideshow did a good job since they basically had nothing to work with. The gold looked cool, but I think they production leggings look good too.

Either way there is no "movie accurate" leggings to be found because there is no real reference.

i don't think you have to like the movie in order to enjoy this fine piece
i dont think i ever watch this film all the way through without passing out.

Congrats, Anarion!

Great pics of Darkness. I especially like the last one -- in the shadow of Darkness. The second pic brought a smile to my face. It looks as if he's about to do a song and dance since he's in a spotlight. :D

Thanks for sharing your pics.

Great pix Anarion:rock

Like Zoom said, the 2nd one looks like he is ready to do some stand up comedy or something.:lol

I got my RA number today....back across the country he goes tomorrow. Anybody know how long it usually takes to replace these things? I guess I've been lucky, it's the first piece I've had to send back to them.

I had to send my Darkness PF back as well. Atleast I am getting a replacement. Better be mint. hehe Cause I love this piece. I am still tempted to take this a church and see what reaction I get.

I am kidding!

My kids have turned 19. so I guess that’s not a problem either.

…just wait until my life size Chucky shows up.:google

:rotfl

You're old as dirt! btw That Chucky looks awesome!

And I hope one day to have children to, so I think you're one lucky dude Figurefreaks. Not like you don't know that already.
