I watched Black Swan last week and I loved it!!
Actually, I've seen and enjoyed every Aronofsky films from PI: Faith in Chaos to this one.

As many of you may know, Aronofsky is working with Hugh Jackman again to make X-men Origins: Wolverine 2 :yess:

Haven't seen the movie...not sure if I want to at this point....it's been so hyped up that I don't think it'll take. Did see the Portman/Kunis scene......meh.

Portman's solo scene was much better. :monkey3

Yea its a good movie but you can't go in expecting much more then The Wrestler.

Its better imo, faster paced, but don't expect the greatest film of the decade.

Saw that too, also meh. No nudity doesn't bother me, in reality the lies given by Forgetting Sarah Marshall for Kunis and the excellent turn in Hotel Chevalier and Closer leave enough for my imagination to create something that Hollywood wouldn't be able to touch but it just felt almost forced, wasn't all that believable and almost looked for lack of a better word....wooden.

I felt like he did a pretty decent job with staying subtle and not tacky with those things. hollywood often makes like caricatures of things that people actually do. I felt this wasn't really an example of that...like the dance club scene or the lesbian scene, there was a vague realness to it...the latter not even being an actual occurring event may have something to do with its meh-ness. It was more believable then some softcore porn I've seen at least. Maybe it's a matter of seeing it in context.

I really didn't care for this movie...it felt ultra-hyped by people that have never seen a movie about someone losing their ____ and hallucinating. It seems kind of silly and tired, especially since I don't care about ballet..if I did, and I hadn't seen other movies like that maybe I would think differently. Feeling outside the target audience, I don't really think it was a bad movie...just not really into it.

The best part about it was definitely wondering what "the wolverine" is gonna be like.

Loved the movie, but then again I love Natalie Portman. Was great until some "woman" told us that it was immature to laugh cause it was a serious movie and that she thought we came into the theatre by mistake!!!! I can't help it if I found the scene
where winona ryder's character got drunk and walked in front of car, and the news was delivered in such a deadpan tone
Overall I loved the timeframe of the character's development. Club scene reminded me of some good club days.:yess:

I worked the red carpet at the VH1 Critic's Choice Awards Friday night. Natalie Portman took my hand, looked into my eyes and smiled radiantly at me as I led her and her party into the rotunda of the Hollywood Palladium.

I don't remember much after that :)

I finally managed to watch this movie... wow!
Amazing work!! Seriously Aronofsky is one of my favorite directors, I've enjoyed all of his movies so much,
he has a talent of sharing the raw feelings of his characters so smoothly it's just absolutely brilliant!

Oh and denryanj, you lucky bastard!!! :rock!

Finally saw this steaming pile of ____.

Poor CG, CG when it wasn't needed, cliche plot, and ending that was given away before the halfway point of the movie.

Just... awful.

The music was good though.

I found this film very, very pretentious. I think the director considers his audiences stupid and hits you over the head with his themes and symbolism again and again. I wanted to yell at the screen... "I get it, I get it, enough already"

And for those of you who love all his films, you must have missed "The Fountain"

The Fountain is a minor masterpiece. One of the best films of the past decade.
