I found the "trick" to getting the saber to turn on is to hold in the button for 3-5 seconds and then release it. You may have to repeat this a couple times. Also, the colder it is, the longer it takes for the lighting elements to heat up. Hope this helps.

Might be a bad connection then. You could try putting some rubbing alcohol on a qtip and cleaning the contacts to see if that helps. Otherwise, Sideshow will do right by you.

a question for every one who owns this. the foot that connects Malgus to the base is it completly touching it? i noticed mine doesnt completly touch the base. im talking centimeters here nothing major but wondering if thats why the lightsaber isnt working.
Trying everything before i ask for a replacement.

Mine is fully flush to the base. You might be on to something. Try wiggling it around and see if the saber lights up.

Mine is flush as well.
Always worth trying to add a bit of firm pressure and a slight wiggle to see if it slots in.

I just got mine yesterday and when I turned it on the sabre didn't work but I twisted it round a couple of times and it was fine and still is, the only other thing was the tip of the sabre has fallen off so I will have to glue it back on. Amazing statue even though I have nothing else from this line he was too cool to pass up.

Congrats on the best SW PF out there, IMO. I was out of the SW PF line until Malgus came out. Now I am back in.
