I sort of fall into this camp as well. When the Life Size Malgus was issued I thought, pfft, I'm a classic trilogy guy, whatever. But for some reason the alt head sculpt for the PF really did it for me, add in a mix of Darth Talon, and a smidge of Shaak Ti and this CT guy is suddenly paying attention to the Clone Wars and EU universes a bit more. Paradigm shift for me. AND, the real biggee for me is that suddenly the CT material looks <gulp> a bit boring <ducks for cover>
you did research, and then came to the conclusion that its not so bad.
You didn't immediately yell "that looks great, please make a $350 statue out of this and I'll buy it! oh by the way, where are they from?"
I just think they look cool so I want and buy it, then I go back to do research on the character later. I mean malgus I first thought was vader, but now I know. He just looks so badass. Same as talon and most all sith's. The dark side rules!
That's how I buy. If it looks cool. Ya Dark Side rule. I turned obi and santa yoda into sith Lord's.
Dark side has such coolers looking characters.
Although it can be because their 'bad boys' to an extent but i think it's also because the Jedi despite being great swordsmen are too goody goody.
Can't wait for this guy especially if the paint application and details are done as well as the proto.
Malgus was one of the better things to come out of the train wreck that was SWTOR, I'm still annoyed at the wasted potential that game had
I also recommend the book Deceived, I got it to read on a long flight and ended up loving it, it really tells you alot about his character and personality.
Train wreck might be a bit harsh, but I understand some didn't enjoy Old Republic. It's all good.
I've always wondered about Deceived. I think I finally need to get it.

I will be reading those books once I get done with the LOF series. I can't wait to get into the old republic, the Bane books are good reads too if you haven't already. Oh and welcome to the freaks!
I just read Deceived a few weeks ago and it's a great book. Highly recommended.
Fatal Alliance on the other hand is severely underwhelming.
I haven't read Revan though. Is it any good?
I wished the books had more pictures, all I see in those star wars novels/ books are pages of words.![]()
thats why they are called books.. you might wanna try comics..![]()
