My advice is skip 'Fatal Alliance' because it's really average but read 'Deceived' because it's great.
Then if you haven't played KotOR maybe read 'Revan' (I haven't read that one).

I like to read the novels in Chronological order. I was holding out on buying anymore novels until after Christmas because my wife usually buys me a few books every year. Go figure I didn't get any for Christmas this year and I haven't read a book in a month. I have read the Bane books and loved them. So KotOR are next on the hit list.

Bane>>>>> Malgus

Really, the only "good" SWTOR book is Deceived. Fatal Alliance is meh, Revan will make you want to bash your head against a wall (If you played KOTOR 1 and 2, if you didn't you wouldn't understand it anyway) and Annihilation is pretty meh, too. Karpyshyn has fallen pretty far, it seems. Of course with the game's switch to F2P and their terrible implementation of it, those may end up being all we get

I have the Bane books but haven't read them yet. I try to limit myself on SW books otherwise it's just crazy.
So far I have Deceived, Bane Trilogy, Zahn Trilogy. And I'm dying to get Plagueis.

Yeah I know what you mean I have probably about 60 SW books I've acquired over the years. Most of which I've read twice. I just picked up Plagueis last night because I couldn't find Revan, Deceived and Fatal Alliance. I was really bummed because I'm itching to learn more about Malgus, he seems like a bad ass. I will have to order these if they don't have them by next week. I only had time to read the first chapter last night and it seems pretty promising. I will let you know what I think about it.

Be aware that Malgus (iirc) is nowhere in Fatal Alliance, or maybe he's mentioned but that's about it. Whereas he's integral and central to Deceived. Deceived is pretty much Malgus: Year One.

Yea, Fatal Alliance is more on Satele Shan. But the main protagonist(s) are not any of the famous characters.

Most books I can chew through in a matter of a few days, but Fatal Alliance has to be one of the most uninteresting reads I've had in a long time.

It took me a while to finish it and I only did because I had nothing else to read!
