Here is a question, where can we get the Sideshow Vader movie? They were showing it at Comic Con quite a bit.

Is this the one where Vader visits the old SSC offices in Westlake Village (where he goes from fat Vader to skinny Vader back to fat Vader again :lol )? The "Secure this!.... Secure this!" skit about "Obi-One With The Force"? If so, that's actually on the SSC promo DVD that was given out at Celebration III and elsewhere last year. I'm sure some people have extra copies around somewhere.

Yeah thats it but I didn't notice that Vader changed.:rotfl

Watch some of the others. The 'Darth Vader parody' with the Japanese cops had my wife and I roaring...PS

Qui-gon didn't interact directly with Luke so he doesn't belong at the end of RotJ.

But riddle me this true believers - in so many thousands of years Jedi dominance, no other Jedi figured out how to commune with the Force after death until Qui-gon?

I thought there was some ancient Jedi order called "The Whills" or somesuch who were the ones that actually discovered it and Qui-gon found a bunch of their journals which is where he learned it?

Not sure if that is right but I know it is something like that.

Actually, in SW lore (according to the ROTS novelization, which is pretty much canon) ONE ancient user of The Force was able to discover the secret of maintaining one's identity in The Netherworld of The Force after physically dying. It was a Shaman of The Whills and both Jedi and Sith had quietly tried to discover the secret over centuries. On the Sith side, it was Darth Plagueis who came closest but Qui-Gon was actually the one who figured it out and also discovered that the Sith would never be able to, because it required complete and total selflessness.

In a nutshell, that's it.

Now, as far as why some of us wouldn't mind seeing Qui-Gon at the end of ROTJ... it's pretty simple: If all six films are truly meant to be ONE complete saga, then this is no longer Luke's story. Sorry folks, that's just the way it is now. Right or wrong, love them or hate them, the prequels make "Star Wars" about much more than Luke and characters like Qui-Gon just as important (and certainly more important than Lando).

Don't get me wrong. I'm NOT looking to get into a tired OT vs PT debate. I'm just saying that it is what it is. Because Lucas didn't have everything mapped out ROTJ doesn't quite offer the best closure for a viewing of the entire saga in sequence. And he has to know this. This is the main reason why he stuck Hayden in there.

I woudn't mind Quigon being in the end if it were reedited sort of like that guys version (where quigon appears after Luke turns away) if it were more symmetrical.

I agree. Show him after since Luke was never told of Quigon (and didn't need to be told)

I agree... and that's exactly what the guy did on YouTube. Except, of course, the shot is off-center as has been mentioned (because Qui-Gon looks to his left in the shot that was used).
