Don't worry, that things a cheap plastic toy essentially, it's cool to have, I own one, but I'm sure Sideshow will have taken much more care for something that costs about 20 times more.

I just can't get over that Shaw portrait. I feel like I did the first time I saw the reveal back in 1983. To finally see the man behind the mask... :monkey2

Which is exactly why I've dreamed of this bust and having that option for years. I am so glad to have grown up with OT first then PT, I much prefer my first look at Anakin Skywalker being that shot of the mask pulling away.

I've got to get this bust sooner rather than later. Sideshow did a great job on this!!

That's the part that kills me about the end of the SE version. I still don't see Hayden as Vader. To me, it will always be Shaw.

I'm kicking myself for not biting the bullet and ordering it on FLEX back when it went up. I ordered the regular FLEX this week, so I won't be seeing Vader for a long time unless I get Sideshow to convert my order in a couple months.

It's not so much an anti-Hayden thing for me, as the power of the reveal, the music, the slow pulling away of the mask, the look on Shaw's face, and the power of having spent 2 and 9/10 of the movies seeing Vader as pure evil and to finally see the humanity of him, it was just very moving, and I think if I'd seen them all in numerical order, that moment wouldn't have been as meaningful as it was when all we had was 4-6.

Lets us know whenever it converts, I think you'll be shocked that it might be sooner.

Need some tissue? :p

That's what the PT lacks to me. The combination of the story, characters , the music and the camera work just made the OT unbeatable.

Actually I just ordered the regular. Now that Vader's listed as Backorder, I was too afraid to try and wait for an exclusive waitlist conversion.

Personally, I think the scene has even more emotional impact now than it did back then. Back then we only knew Vader. Now we know Anakin (better or worse) as well.

There's definitely added emotional context to parts of the OT because of the PT, but for me, the magic of first seeing who Vader is beneath all the armor in that way would have been lost seeing the films in order, now it has the feeling plus the emotional context added by the PT, it's twice as powerful for me seeing the movies in the order that I and anyone seeing OT first did.

I agree with Ski, you might be in the clear on this. Even with the deposits, there is a good chance that there will be cancellations/credit card declines on this....especially with the price point.

Hard to say though, with the deposit, I think anyone placing the order was pretty committed to this and would have to really be in a position that they couldn't pay and the Flex Pay option wouldn't work either, otherwise I think most people will be fighting to keep their orders, especially if the rest of the bust turns out problem free, if this thing ships without flaw, people's want for it will really hold up.

When I spoke to a CSR the other day, he told me that they really haven't had many cancellations on the exclusive. FLEX is the only way I can afford this bust, so I went ahead and ordered the regular. The stand would've been nice to have, but there isn't much breathing room in my Besta cabinet, so Vader will either be displayed in full gear or with the mask off. I doubt I would've had room to display both.

At least I keep telling myself that to ease the pain. :lol
