I don't want a light up feature. I want a statue. Save the blinking lights for toys. Just paint it nicely.

The original X-men vs with lights is not a toy its a true GRAIL piece

Until you actually see the EX head in person you really cant hate just yet.

I can see a picture of an ugly woman and know i dont want to date her

lol I know! If I have to look for something on here (or batman PF) I gave up. You have to look through 1000's of pages of posts from him. He's the first man I know to live inside a computer (I think)

My friend, SS is making a ton of these statues so it will NEVER be a grail. That said, the Reg is a beautiful sculpt. Regarding light up features, do you really trust underpaid factory workers in having to make thousands of these, paint them and clothe them perfectly, and then make sure all light up features work perfectly for years to come on this piece? Trust me, those factory workers will take short cuts when no one's looking and I don't blame them. I'd be like "Well, you're not paying me a decent wage so forget it." I honestly feel for those workers. NO LIGHT UP on this piece. Please think about it. There's a difference in having to manufacture an ES of 500 with light up and making it work VS. an ES of 5000+.

I actually always thought the GL PF was fine. Then they added the lights and the EX became a Must have for DC/GL fans.

but im not paying $400 for a toy as you call it and a light up feature does not make it a toy... and there have been thousand of statues made with light up features that still work and not from SS but other manufactures... I remember when people called PF dolls cause it had cloth

plus there are other true toys with lights that work for years... I even have Hallmark Xmas ornaments with lights and motion from 1986 that still work and run 24hrs a day for a few weeks a year

I'm all for red painted eyes on the Ex but heck I'd take light up over the mess that is the current freakshow of Superman's Ex. What do we call him? Jason VS. Freddy VS. Superman? Event Horizon Supes? Scary Man? LMAO. We mostly all agree: It's bad. We will see if SS fixes it with either painted eyes or a light up. I'm cool as long as they axe the Ex (no pun intended) lol. Yeah it just means more workers have a job or the workers they have are employeed longer.

Does anyone know whether the regular is attached to the body?

I am thinking about the possibility of doing a group commission for a new head sculpt with a "self contained" light up feature (similar to some recent koto star wars statues).

I would doubt it, but SSC could do it JUST t make that harder to do. I would be surprised though.

GL looks fine, but I think the pose nd the size are going to make him look small compared to Batman and Superman

Batteries are a pain in the arse to change plus it would prob mess up the whole statue design when trying to pop the reg head on and there's a plug jack sitting in the neck post. The whole thing would have to rebuilt and that means even more delays.

I want eyes that light up when light is reflected it on them...like what they use for the motorways or 'cats eyes' as it is known. Do you think this is too much to ask? and no squiggly things!
