No that is the original head, but it wasn't approved.... These are pics of the Reg head that first went up for the PO

I guess I'm confused then... because those are the same pictures I posted. I just cropped them.

I think the cape looks darker now. My first wave cape matches the briefs. The pics from WonderCon show a darker cape, no longer matching the underwear.

Actually you have a different photo on you crop pics....mother one one the left is the new production piece, the one on the right is a pic of the Proto Reg head that went up for PO. The other head you showed is the original head that was on the statue when it first made an appearance at SDCC

I know. I was comparing the two proto pieces because we haven't seen in-hand pics of the new run.

I just realised the Supes PF displayed at Wondercon had the new paint scheme, with glossy boots and darker red cape. Don't know if it's been mentioned already?

I don't like it at all. The bright red shorts stand out even more than before. Were the shorts darker too, it would be fine. But as is it looks bad, IMO.

I wonder if that is what happened. If the painters just used the same paint on the boots and cape here that they used on the Red Son PF.

here's another picture from wondercon. They did update the website pictures on sideshow to reflect the new changes to the piece which I feel like it looks pretty dang good.

So strange. Looked at a bunch of pics of Supes via Google images. Many of them have the cape, boots and underoos the same color. When the underwear is a different shade, it seems that it is generally darker than the cape and boots. What an odd choice.

I believe the darker shade of the boots and cape is making the overwear pop out more. The overwear looks the same to me on the first batch that came out, but maybe I'm wrong.
