Hey!

I e-mailed DCC a little over month ago about my BTAS Catwoman, whose all three left hands had broken. Kevin replied me very quickly, saying they would be sending me a replacement as soon as they had her in the office. The replacement figure took a month to arrive from China, and they immediately sent me the figure, which took just three business to arrive here, with a letter from Kevin.
That, my friends, is a true customer service.

Anyway, let's talk about the NEW Catwoman:

First and foremost: this is an all-new BTAS Catwoman figure.

As expected, it is sculpted with the new, improved plastic - like the figures from Wave 2 and beyond. You can feel it's different and better.
The terrible thigh holes are gone forever, as are the holes on the knees and ankles.
I suspect the head/face was re-sculpted, because it is slightly different from the first one.

The paintwork is absolutely incredible. No bleeding at all.
Seriously, amazing paintwork. Even Isis' eyes have a better paintwork, as have the necklace and camera she comes with.
Catwoman has an overall matte effect on the painting, with just the lips being glossy - a very nice touch.

However, I'm still not sold at Catwoman's eyes.
Although the paintwork on them is far superior and better now, I still kinda don't like the sculpted eyelids (I think it should be drawn, like the rest of the eyes). However, I might get used to it - let's see.

Yes, the whip you see on my picture is the old 90's Kenner whip, which I find to be way superior, because it's way longer and rubberier.

And, yes, I still prefer our beloved old Kenner Isis:

That's it. I'm SO, SO pleased with it.
And it arrived just in time for the Gordon way to come out.

Your new Catwoman figure looks so awesome World's Greatest Detective!!! I can't wait for this to get released so I can buy one! I'm so glad DC Collectibles is sending these out as replacements for folks who had to deal with breakage issues. Yeah you are right, the Kenner figure whip looks great with her! I still have all of my old BTAS figures I'll have to grab that whip when I buy the reissue Catwoman once she comes out.

My figure didn't come with the necklace, yours yes? And mine only took 32 hours to arrive here, from Los Angeles to Madrid

You know it's kind of funny, but in a way a lot of these figures remind me so much of the old Kenner toys that I often have to remind myself that they are made by a different company completely. I've lost count on how many times I've made the various Freudian slips when people ask me who manufactured these figures.

Hey folks has anyone heard yet if the Gordon Wave figures will be in stores on the 30th? I called my LCS but they don't have the invoice yet, I'll check with them later today. Fingers crossed!

Toychest News still lists them all for next week, so I'd say that they are coming. I'm not positive, but that's usually right one week out. If so, sweet!

Gordan wave is no longer listed on previewsworld for the week of the 30th. It's now listed on Toychest for JUNE 29TH WTF -_-

This year will be just like last. We'll get a bunch of the figs months late, a few random ones dropping in between, then we'll get hit with everything all at the end of the year. Calling it now. DCC may as well just stop releasing dates. Just tell us "Eh you'll get them whenever" lol

I said all this back in January. We'll end up getting everything at the end of the year again. BUMMER! *sigh* and so we wait lol. Yeah they should just stop giving release estimates if they are never accurate. Ah well, we all better start saving up again, looks like the end of the year is going to get quite pricey again! Still, when they all do finally come out, it'll be quite the exciting time!

I hope it's all a miscue and the next wave shows up in the very near future but I'm not very optimistic. About $400 worth of figures all at once around Christmas again... Yay

Can't freaking believe it!!!!!!!!!!!

And the worst thing about it all is that DCC didn't even bother to send out a press release explaining the delay!!

The Mad Love 2-pack was delayed and DCC didn't say a word - worse: at the ToyFair in February, there was a sign stating "available now", which is what indeed was supposed to happen: be released in Feb.

And now the whole Gordon wave was postponed without a single word from them!!!!!!!!!!

Things with them are just simply delayed and that's it: "customers can wait, no reason to explain".

Seriously. I don't understand the delay of the Gordon wave at all. Last year they had the QC issues to fall back on as an excuse. I wonder why they would have delayed it this time.. The figures at Toyfair for this wave looked like production

While I agree that will be the excuse, why? Those reissues should have been ready and already released by now.

If that were the case I would be cool with waiting a little longer to get the next wave. I really doubt that's the case though, unfortunately :/
Even so, I was hoping we would have the Clayface/Firefly wave by June/July. I hate getting bombarded with things all at once.

I'm waiting on the 5 designer series Harley's they're releasing and the Batgirl of Burnside from Icons, icons Joker, and possibly some others that come later in the year, and that's just DCC. I can't get all those plus 2 waves from animated,the 5 pack, LOTDR 3 pack, Batwing, and Christmas Joker all at the same damn time, right near the holidays lol. Not copping the Batwing, but if I was it would be way worse. I'm trying to give you my money DCC! Just less at a time
