DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Try using a de humidifier Where you keep your toys. It's the down side of collecting, humidity does certain chemical reactions to certain toys... 95% of my collection is die cast action figures, but it all boils down how one takes care of the material the figures are made out

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I only collect this line from DCC so am curious if there other lines suffer from the same delays? Do these delays impact all lines I wonder or just specific ones.
Some figures from the Arkham Knight line have been delayed in recent months. The Designer Series Two Face got delayed for like 9 months. So idk. It only seems to be select figures in other lines, not entire waves

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I will go with the definitive - Maybe :)

There is no doubt that releases are all over the place with a few waves delayed of course but then the Phantasm set came out early and didn't the Mad Hatter wave arrive pretty much as scheduled?

By the way WGD - with these delays staving us of new figures for long periods, I have put Zantana back on my buy list to help make the wait worthwhile. Your move now with Ra's :lol

Yes, the Phantasm set arrived even earlier than expected, and the Mad Hatter wave shipped on time. Based on that, I believe both the Clayface wave and Bullock wave won't be postponed. But, if that happens, it won't be for long - maybe a month or so.

Really?! Clever boy! :lol
I bet we won't be disappointed - Zatanna will be the most gorgeous female fig in this line.

:rotfl I admit I'm considering getting Ra's, yes, but it'll depend on how much money I'll have available for the line in Sep/Oct... I'll travel to see Carrie Underwood live :)yess:), so that alone will take a lot of money. Plus: I'll already buy 6 figures of this line and, if the body of TNBA Harley is indeed better, she'll be the 7th fig. We'll see - if I can get him, I will.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

God I hated that game! haha it was soo bad. Almost as bad as one of those little hand held games where you could only go left or right to dodge objects lol

Yeah but these are the ones I grew up with. Its dated now, but they were fun back in the day.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

No I was referring to this one, which is all BTAS. Love the classics, I miss those days.

Sorry, but you were definetely speaking of a GameBoy ADVANCE game.
"Not really into video games either, but I still like the BTAS game for GBA. That was a fun game, even now I play it occasionally."
were your words. and the GBA Games were these:

My bad, I should have put GB not GBA. I played all of these on the original GBA which was backwards compatible with GB and GBC. I did like these games as well, but I was referring to this one originally.

Ah yes. I had this one too but never beat it, because it was hard to survive with only 1 health bar and instand game over. I preffered the SNES version instead. Still if there's ever a chance to get a new game in this style it has to be Arkham gameplay for me. the Arkham games are best Batman games ever in my opinion.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

AFI has a first look at the Mad Love 2pk and DCC really pulled a bait-and-switch. I know metallic paint Joker was unnecessary, but now he's a straight repack.
https://www.actionfigureinsider.com...collectibles-batman-animated-mad-love-2-pack/

I'm actually relieved that it's at least the same original Joker, rather than a hideous, pointless and inaccurate repainted fig.
I know and agree... It would be waaaay better to have a new sculpt, but AT LEAST it's an original and accurate Joker, you know?

Although Harley is a popular character, her figure in lingerie wouldn't sell well on its own - let's be honest... It's not a popular version of her.
So to throw in a Joker was a good move, especially now being an accurate Joker. That makes it more valuable and a really good gift.

Things to consider:

1. Collectors who are starting this line can now save money and get both original Joker and special Harley for a good price;
2. People who already own the single-carded Joker should see this as an opportunity, too: at least it is an original Joker. You can have an extra one in your collection - if anything happens to your first Joker, you have a spare;
3. Occasional buyers can buy both Joker and Harley for a good price

I, personally, can't wait to get it. That Harley looks awesome and cute.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

is it just me or are Joker's teeth and eyes a lot more yellow in this version than the single release?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Ugh those Popye forearms on Harley are awful. Ruins an otherwise excellent figure.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I wonder if they gave this Joker actual ankle rockers. Absolute headscratcher why they didn't do that the first time around. He's a hyperactive character and should have a lot of leg range for that reason. I only wish this set would include the original BTAS Harley's accessories. Would love to get a fish (and some playing cards and a Thompson Machine Gun for the Joker).

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Wow that's so whack. I didn't care for the shiny Joker much, but a straight repack is just lazy. They couldn't have repainted his eyes better at least? Plus no Joker cards or accessories at all either?? Ugh I thought maybe Harley's arms were causing the delay on this. They're still the same sausage arms as the pics from toyfair. Not to mention no ankle articulation at all.
Very first thing in the line I won't be buying. I don't mind getting the same joker so much, but those arms are a deal breaker for me. The only positive about this set is that the book appears to be better quality than what I had expected

Since I missed getting the first Joker, this is a great pack after all. It does look a little better on Joker's face IMO

Or you could just buy another single carded Joker figure if you need a spare instead of being forced to buy him if you don't need or want him.

Sorry but this switch is garbage. The only thing I like about it is the fact that it is TNBA Harley instead of BTAS Harley. (Tho her forearms are too beefy)
I didn't like shiny purple Joker but at least he was different. I was thinking about possibly changing my mind and buy this until now.

I think what might have happened here is that her original more slender forearms were part of the issue. Considering the breakage issues with Catwoman's wrists/hands they may have had problems with Harley's too when they pumped out a few prototypes. So maybe they beefed her arms up to combat this. ???
So maybe the beefier arms are supposed to be the improvement instead of the other way around.
Still sux lol.

And as far as the Joker figure goes-
Instead of a straight up reissue or a darker shiny purple Joker, couldn't they have simply done a darker purple Joker? Same shade as shiny Joker just without the shine. Or heck, the same purple just give him a green shirt and black tie instead.

Idk, I can't imagine that being the issue since Ivy and Batgirl are fine. Hell Harley's arms are bigger then Barbara's gauntlets lol. Either way it totally ruins the figure for me. With the Joker it would have been awesome to have gotten him with his grey hat and trench coat, like he wears in Joker's Favor. They could have even used the old body underneath the new coat, gave him a hat and a new face sculpt and bam. I think that would have sold way more than this will.

I think it would be cool to get a hat & trench coat Joker like that in a two pack with Andrea Beaumont.
