Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Words can no longer describe how bored I am without new figures. It's been over 6 months since we last got a new figure.

And we still don't know when the next wave will be released.

:gah:

just purchased 14 of the previous figures. Sorry for the noob question but why the delay? I am hoping that it isn't starting to slow down?

The waves aren't slowing down in terms of figures being announced, but there have been major factory delays causing a backlog.

Ah, ok. Thanks for the reply. The delays are annoying but i'm glad that the steam hasn't come out of the line. Lots more for DCC to make.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

We are gonna get our butts kicked at the second half of the year. We'll be swimming in animated figures.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I'm thinking the last 4 months of 2016 when we see anything new.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Has there been any announcement of a regular Bruce Wayne with his brown suit? Alfred?

I was thinking the same thing. I do not believe so but neither can be far behind. I would absolutely want both.

I seriously cannot wait for some new figures. Gordon of course has me pumped but bullock, talia and the beyond 3 pack look amazing. Deluge at the end of the year as whackojacko states. What are the chances of a Batcave reveal at SDCC?

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

How do you guys think they would even go about doing a batcave if they did one? I can't imagine how huge that would be. I assume it would be like a few sections like a Lego set. One of the computer and one for the Display cases with the suits/ his collectibles section with the giant 2 face coin ect, and maybe a floor piece to connect the 2?

Sections would be the best option, I made a post about that in my spanish btas blog, not sure if DCC will release those playsets, but it was fun for me to think of the several playsets. https://batmanlaserieanimada.blogspot.com/2016/01/playsets-de-dc-collectibles.html

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Judging by the price listed, it looks like Christmas Joker will now be a normal figure instead of deluxe like they said at ToyFair.

That price hike is still ugly though.$28.00 makes this one a peg warmer I would say. $28 figures will make completists into cherry pickers.

It is just a normal figure, indeed. Fair price now. Thank God!
I don't see anything that could label it a "deluxe figure", unless it is a limited release just for Christmas, which is not the case.
I love this figure so much and can't freaking wait for it. "Christmas With The Joker" has always been one of my favorites episodes in the series.

And, let's be real: what makes Clayface a "deluxe figure" anyway?
I don't think being a tad taller than the other ones qualifies as "deluxe". It also has the same number of accessories as any other regular fig, which is not a deluxe feature either.
It should be $28 too.

I'd be happy if Clayface was the standard price. I get the feeling though, that Clayface is going to be noticeably larger than even Bane, Croc, and Man-Bat. Not gigantic, but still taller and wider than those 3 hence the $40 pricetag. An SRP of maybe $34 would seem more acceptable though.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

With the unveiling of DC's new logo today, I can't help but wonder if all these delays on the DCC figures are due to them rebranding all the packaging, rather than factory delays. Or at least partly a cause of the delay anyway. Especially since the next wave of figures looked ready to go at Toy Fair. And it does seem a coincidence that it's all their lines delayed at the moment....

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Guys, what was the last wave of figures announced by DCC and what figures are in that wave? Cheers!

I see, but still cannot agree with a $45 pricetag for a figure that is just larger than the other ones and that's it.
Clayface is large because the character is large, that's not a deluxe feature.
It doesn't have any real feature that justifies its "deluxe" status, IMO.

$45 is the price of a 2-pack, for Christ's sake!

I'll buy it regardless because it's a great figure and I love the character, but pissed at the price anyway.

That would make sense. Hope we get a release date in the coming weeks for the Gordon wave and Mad Love 2-pack.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I agree with Amos, the new $28 price tag is ********. I know I've said that like 5 times alone on this forum, but it is lol. Also agree about Clayface being too much. Thought that since the start. If you look at him in comparison to the other figs at toyfair he really isn't much taller than the others.

Here's Clayface and Christmas Joker. If you look at where they are compared to the signs behind them, Clayface's shoulders go to about where Joker's hat starts. Assuming that Joker figure is around the same size as the one we have, that would make Clayface actually shorter than Killer Croc, as the Joker we have now isn't even as tall as Crocs shoulders. The only thing that would make him taller is that screaming head because it's taller. I don't think Clayface is going to be as big as people are thinking. Definitely doesn't warrant a higher SRP. Especially given that we didn't get any lower prices for small ass figures like Tim Drake or Penguin

I don't see really see it as deluxe either but more plastic = higher cost. I imagine that is how DCC sees it. I'm actually surprised Man-Bat didn't cost more than he did especially considering the size of the box he came in. We got lucky with him. Also, they've changed to a higher quality plastic. Maybe they could let it slide before with the cheaper stuff. Maybe the difference in cost between smaller and larger figures is too significant now. I don't know. All that being said, would they reduce the price on a significantly smaller figure? I doubt it lol.
