Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Just watched the live Batwing unboxing on the DCC facebook page. Sadly they confirmed no wall mount for the Batwing. Ah well, should be able to use some fishing line to hang it from the ceiling :D

Watching the video as I type this. Cannot wait to add this beast to the collection.

The only thing I worried about with that is that the fishing line might scratch up the wings, but, with the way the wings snap in, you could probably put it right in between the seams of where the fuselage connects to the wings.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I was expecting Clayface to be this big when compared to Batman.

Too bad he isn't.

This is a very good idea. I will be very interested in seeing/hearing ways people hang/mount/display their Batwing once it is released.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I may be late to this, but I just received my Firefly and Fire Suit Batman... THE PAINT APPS AND THE ARTICULATION ARE HIDEOUS. I rarely complain about this line. I've loved every figure so far. But these two are REALLY below par. I will be writing Jim and Kevin to complain.

Anyone else had problems with these?

I did man. I went to 3 different comic shops to pick out one of each. 2 shops had 4 of each, and 1 shop had 8 of each. Out of all of those there were the 1's I bought (most acceptable, but still crappy) a few that were decent, and a ton that were complete ****. Paint smears and bleeding everywhere, Batman has some sort of weird greasy looking spots. I forgot what it's from, I've read somewhere what it is, but can't recall. Every single Firefly I saw had wonky eyes. They looked terrible. And yea they left off the ankle rockers and there's not much head movement. I was disappointed after that amazing Gordon wave.

I agree, it's sad because the sculpt doesn't look bad at all. (I really like the screaming head!) ..but I would prefer to have one head and no accesory at all and get the figure 30-35% bigger... X_X DCC is very lazy and money grabber.... the future is dark in this line, im really afraid that Ivy and Freeze will be disappointing too.. T.T

I actually like the sculpt for the most part. His torso should have extended down a bit farther, while adding a tiny bit of height to the legs and he would have been great. I actually like both the default head and the screaming head, but his size is just too damn small. *Edit* I was so caught up in the height I didn't notice how pointy that default one is. Looks like a pimple coming to a head lol. Clayface shouldn't be smaller than Manbat and barely taller than Bats. I agree about this fig being a money grab though. I'm not too worried about Ivy or Freeze. It's Bane we should be concerned with (I also think TNBA Bane is undersized). I didn't expect an Arkham sized Clayface, I just expected him to be in scale, hence the higher price. Luckily there aren't really any other massive characters to worry about

Won't that inevitably fall in time? I've never hung anything heavy like that with fishing line, but it seems like it would crash eventually lol

I'll definitely have to do my research, might depend on how heavy it ends up being :) If it ends up being too heavy to hang like that, maybe i'll do a custom wall mount.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Careful hanging that Batplane guys. The points look dangerous.

As for Clayface, the head isn't just too pointy it's the whole sculpt. I think the eyes should have been given a more angular expression and they didn't really capture that "George Lucus" hanging neck thing he has. :\

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Re the Forefly paint job... worse than the eyes on the ones I had available at my store, the belt pouches were extremely sloppy. Not sure I can even fix it given the rubbery plastic doesn't love being painted.

Yea it was pretty much a trade off between which was worse, eyes or belt lol. I went with the better belt since all the eyes sucked

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

New cloth cape Batsy seems way better. The headsculpt looks more accurate now. I wonder why we didn't get this version sooner xDDD
Glad I've passed on the first Batmobile release. Gonna get the new metallic/batsignal one at the black friday :p that's awesome xD

Can someone compare these two to the Phantasm two pack Bats as well. I want to see if there is any difference

Normally I would jump on this revision Bats, but I think the deluxe pack with the different heads and capes coming out next year will top both of these, so I'll wait

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

The Mask of the Phantasm Batman headsculpt is still the best Bats head so far in this line.

I think it's pretty clear to see, isn't it?

I TOTALLY agree with the mouth and the eyes. though the "ears" kind of still look out of model. have they really been improved too?

and I too want to know. can the head be switched? I want to display cloth-cape-Bats with normal cape and hide the first version with cloth-cape inside the batmobile

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

^I believe so. I plan to do it myself... and will use a hairdryer to accomplish. Just need to get around to it.
