Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

You could use a clear sticker substrate. It would be permanent but less opaque than paper. Amazon has "Avery Sticker Project Paper, 8.5 x 11 Inches, Clear, Pack of 10" for $5.61.

Maybe the static cling stickers will work better once people have them in hand. I've encountered a few of these for my kids' bedroom walls and holiday decor for window glass and they worked well enough. There are some print at home static cling sheets on the market, which might be good for those who want to customize bat computer images from screen captures or photoshopped images.

I hope that's the case. Initially I thought we'd get printed plastic panels that could be swapped out but maybe this works just as well if you keep the clings clean.

It looks very questionable that they will at least according to that video I just linked. The video is coming from a reviewer who generally gives pretty positive reviews of the figures too. Of course he did display the cabinet upside down so maybe he doesn’t know what he’s doing lol

Another video review and another reviewer who displays that cabinet upside down. :lol

Yeah at least he figured it out at the very end lol.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I got my Batcave today. It’s so much more awesome in person! I love it :D

Regarding the cling-stickers, my set has about 3 or 4 that are really fiddly and tough to stay stuck on. The rest are all fine though and seem to have stuck really well. I’ll keep an eye on them over the next few weeks.

Anyway, here’s some pics!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Just found out that the chair is on a ball joint. I was pulling up on it and discovered this. Interesting that they did it this way. Oh, the whole thing that the reviewer said on YouTube about the decals needing moisture to stick - no issues with mine staying on (except for that one that's on the battery compartment piece).

Okay, now I want a display case/arsenal/trophy room for the other side of the Batcave.

I wonder which figure will come with that playset. Hope it could be Alfred from TNBA

That costume case would be an easy sell for them. Just make it similar to the GCPD case and sell all 5 figures with alternate head sculpts where their face isn't sculpted.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

@sfa
can you post the box dimensions? thanks!

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Got my Batcave yesterday. I was very happy to find that the shipping box was just large enough to fit actual box in.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

I got the Batcave as well - I completely blame SFA for this as it was supposed to be his set! ;)

I think it's pretty cool and it is a nice display BUT I don't think it is worth the money. If you think about it this is more expensive than Batmobile and same price as Batwing... I think the retail should be $100-120. Decals are pretty crap... they work fine is some places but don't stick at all in others o_O. The background is a cool addition though and it give the Batcave a bit of a depth.

Not the horror story.... My Alfred came with two right legs!

I contacted the customer service and you can tell that Kevin is now gone as this is what I got...

Hi Tom,

We do not replace anything here at our offices unfortunately. What your store can do is contact our distributor and ask them to help you replace your figure. Since we are not the distributor we cannot help in these types of cases. Please stress to your store that our distributor would most likely be the best one to help.

Good luck,

Amanda Levine | DC Collectibles

Quite sad... :(

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Wow, that ****ing sucks, zelu. Sorry to hear that :(
Unreal, you pay a ton of money for an overpriced set, get a complete dud from them and all you receive is a "too bad, good luck" basically. I would be furious.

It absolutely figures that it would happen not with a single carded figure release but with one attached to a giant playset. I suppose IF the distributor takes care of it in a timely fashion that it’s not so bad... If you don’t have to send the entire cave back that is. So where did you buy yours? Online store or locally?

Please keep us (me) updated on this. I seriously want to know how this turns out. Also good luck and I hope there is an easy fix to the situation for you.

Absolutely agree.

Re: DC Collectibles doing Batman The Animated Series figures!!!!!

Has anyone figured out a way of keeping the decals stuck to the batcave? I literally have to reapply the decals every hour or so - pretty annoying considering the price

I'm absolutely appalled by the response you received, Zelu. The manufacturer needs to stand by their product and immediately help the consumer. The size of this set should be indicative of how unnecessary an entire package replacement is. If it's not too difficult to exchange the entire set at your local comic shop (or wherever you purchased it) I guess it's the route to go.
However, if it is difficult to exchange, you need to pursue DC Collectibles. You will need to get in touch with a supervisor over the phone or something and point out that it is obviously a quality control issue (the leg bends the wrong way) and exchanging it with a store or distributor is inconvenient for you. Tell them you expect them to stand behind their product; you will not be going out of your way to correct their mistake because when you pay them, you expect a quality product.
