@zelu1984 - I actually just watched ebay and amazon like a hawk for about 3 months to get all of my fodder. I planned out most of the recipes ahead of time as a bunch of the parts were depending on others, but I did win a few ebay lots where I may have some extras. I'll let you know what's left when the dust settles. lol

It's time for another custom! I made Jim Gordon from TNBA out of the rubber NJ Croce one, TAS Riddler's legs, and Ra's forearms. The rubber figure was decent but his legs were too short, so I swapped them out. I also repainted his head a bit to look more accurate. I think he works quite well for the line. : )

This is such a clever custom CaptSpock! I never realized the bendable figures were in the same scale but he looks great next to the other figures!

This shows how the glasses on Gordon (and the monocle on Penguin for that matter) should have been handled instead of the off model, wrong shape, too thick excuse we got on the official BTAS Gordon.

They take so long to come out that it gives plenty of time to save up if need be. I have SS points so I'll skip the ex. for Freeze. Looks like it might be his goggle-less headsculpt and Nora tombstone. Neat accessories, but nothing I need for display.

Huh, could be very cool. However, I wonder, is that the reason Diamond Select hasn't previewed any new statues in a while? It would be unfortunate if they no longer have the licence to do them, as those were quality statues for a really decent price.

Sideshow just announced Batman TAS and SuperMan TAS Statues license.

I see this announcement on SS's site (https://www.sideshowtoy.com/whats-new/batman-statue-animated-series-collection/), but I'm confused- it never says Batman: The Animated Series, it doesn't feature the BTAS logo/font, it says that the line "will delve into the animated series world of DC Comics", and a very similar paragraph is in the announcements for Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman.

So it sounds like this line is going to be statues from multiple animated DC Comics shows, not necessarily just BTAS? Maybe?

I don't get it why Sideshow (and let's face it, DC Collectibles at times) feels the need to do their own interpretations of the Timm designs by changing certain things about them (Batman's chin shape, for example). They should instead focus on faithfully translating the 2D designs into 3D.

The early 2000's statues managed what modern companies seem to struggle with.

Hope there will be a reissue of GCPD pack or at least a single pack release (I don't need the GCPD cardboard). It's the only thing I miss in the series.

I don't have one but I have been considering it lately. You can check out my other pencil artwork (and my brother's) on Instagram at my reinkearts id, though. I think I'll open a new one for customs soon and let you guys know.

@vasq0034- They're actually not in scale with DCC. They're not even in scale with each other! haha. We just got lucky that Gordon's upper half was big enough to fit in. I was kinda hoping the same for Alfred but I'm not sure yet. Here's some scale reference for the rest of them. You can also see how short Gordon's legs were next to Batman there.
