Super Freak
Im not sold on the base either, but Batman himself looks fantastic. Im getting weak..
Just heard back from the seller. He was very nice and said that he was going to try and obtain another Batman 1:4 from his distributor. He wants me to return the broken one to him, which I understand, but I don't want to fork over another $40 to send this back to him.
I wonder if I would have any luck with the Post Office since I did buy insurance on it. I'm guessing that the PO here would keep the broken item and then the seller would receive the refund from the PO? Even though the box wasn't crushed, the force of an impact could've done the deed.
The problem is if there is no outside appearance of damage to the box the post office won't pay out the claim. I've run into this problem before, with them and UPS [who I'll never use again]. Now if some damage suddenly appears to the shipping box...your odds of getting an insurance claim in your favor rise significantly.
This one is REALLY tempting. I don't really collect DC stuff, but I was always a fan of Batman. Only things keeping me from buying one are the ES (how many does DCD make exactly?) and the question of whether another, better PF will come along. If the ES is large enough, these shouldn't be hard to find later on.
So that's what an unbroken one looks like!
