My only gripe is that weapons are somewhat hard to find, instead of weapon's laying around they have stupid crap like deoderant, toothpaste and glue. What the frak am I gonna do with toothpaste in the zombie apocalypse.

dont know about toothe paste, but a deoderant bomb is one of the best weapons for bosses
. im about 15h into the game, im lvl 26 and ive just started act 3. got 3 guns and 3 meele weapons, the guns are not useful when ur fighting zombies i usually just. jump on their heads and watch them go pop =)

also ive been playing it on the ps3 and have had no bugs whatsoever, nothing dissapears. no crashes. textures take a little to load, but i cant count that as a bug. biggest disappointment for me is i bought the special edition just for the head phones and they dont fit in the back of my tv.

No different than Oblivion or Fallout 3.

And I personally don't find it an issue. I always have a stock of high class weapons on me and when I want or need a new one, I run into weapons quite often so I don't have a problem. It's moreso finding a weapon that fits your desire.

People seem to be complaining about this game more than anything, it's really sad considering it is a great game and people tend to focus on what they see as 'negative'.

I can find many equal complaints about similar games but for some reason people don't mention those gripes.

I think customization (creating new weapons) is much more easy in Dead Island compared to Fallout 3, but I may be wrong...

edit:
I guess I mean, theres way more "recipes" that can be used right away in Dead Island, and just more weapons in general, but you could argue they are all the same thing.

Anybody else did the weapon duplication glitch? :monkey3

yea i had a friend tell yesterday and boosted money for fun.I love running around with 5 very powerful swords, and if one gets damaged i switch to the same bad ass weapon.
But on the real i love this game , i dont play as much as i did in the past so if a game like this gets me non stop playing its a worth 60$.I am about 80% through it and i can see myself replaying for fun with friends..

I thought I'd mention that several Targets and Best Buys I've been too in the past week have been sold out of this game (of course this isn't the case everywhere).

So I'd say it's selling pretty well.

Actually it's the case alot more then you may think...(For the 360 version) Here in NY almost every Best Buy, Game stop, Toys r us Etc..are sold out. My brother in Law has been searching for the last three days....and still nothing....Even Amazon is backordered 3 weeks...

As far as PS3 versions that is easier to get as most have that version in stock.

Hm that's strange are manufacturers not pressing enough discs? Personally I've started just getting online copies for my games because that way I can preload the game qnd start playing at release and saves a trip to the store. I only pick up boxed games now if the game is collectible (nice boxart, etc).

I think that they just never thought the game would do as well as it has...

My Brother in law finally got his today at Toys R Us here in NY...they got 25 copies in...and sold them all withinn an hour...he was online, and got the next to last copy....Crazy...

I love this game. The 360 patch came out today and makes the game run alot better. I was experiencing the white screen frozen game ____ last night with some friends but that is fixed now. Here is the list of things they fixed....

Fixed map synchronization when player joins during map load.
Fixed saving player re-spawn position when playing in co-op mode.
Fixed occasional inability to complete sidequests in Laboratory.
Improved enemy awareness (zombies).
Fixed occasional bug with NPC’s hands bend (IK)
Fixed spawning enemies in some quests after joining co-op game.
Fixed showing locations on invisible NPCs.
Fixed potential path blocker when quest “Knockin’ on heaven’s door” was completed before talking to Dominik during the “On the air” quest.
Fixed displaying gather rings near some doors.
Fixed enemy reaction to fire.
Fixed enemies’ health and stamina bars in co-op.
Fixed filtering of games in lobby.
Volume of pickup’s engine has been increased.
Fixed a number of issues causing game instability.
Fixed the switching of maps upon player death.
Fixed enemies unable to reach the player on some arenas.
Thrown items cannot be picked up by co-op players for five minutes.
Items from freshly opened containers cannot be picked up by other players for five seconds to prevent theft.
Fixed animation glitch when trading with team members.
More than one player can use a ladder at the same time.
Fixed stomping execution animation when target’s attacked by a second player.
Fixed the infinite respawning of shooting enemies.
Fixed not hiding menu if players die inside a vehicle.
Fixed item level calculation when playing New Game Plus.
Added information about players requesting pause in co-op.
Fixed A.I. animation glitch after fast-traveling or using a map portal.
Added distinction between quest checkpoints and other types of saves.
Fixed bug causing all inventory to disappear.
Fixed reloading and kicking. After the clip goes in, the reload is a success.
Purna can gain bonus rage from both “Grim Inspiration” and “Inspiring Kick”.
Only “Walker” type enemies increase the extra XP of the “Combo” skill from Xian’s Survival skill tree.
Health regeneration is disabled during grabs.
Focus on items in shops not changing after selling or buying.
More HP for NPCs in escort missions.
Butcher enemies won’t spawn at all during escort missions (hooray!)
Fixed tracking after loading checkpoint.
Increased minimum vertical distance to count a waypoint as passed for NPCs (they no longer wander back-and-forth).

This game should have been pushed back to fix these things, but I am glad they are actually fixing them and not leaving this game for dead. I'm almost done with my second playthrough and I'm only a level 43. I've played a ton on friends co op games as well. Level 50 feels like forever away. I love this game though. :)

If anyone wants to play add me - batmoBILL

Just got this game today. If anyone wants to play let me know. My gamer tag is DerkDuck22.

Anybody beat the game yet. Some really nice cliffhangers for the sequal. Especially the final boss was real theres gonna be a second one moment.

Been playing for only a couple of days since every Gamestop in my area was sold out until Wednesday.

Good stuff. It gives me a nostalgic Resident Evil vibe since you've always got crap weapons and limited supplies. Just finished the lighthouse gas station quest. Love running zombies over! :lol

:clap Thanks for the spoilers :cuss
