Just a question regarding GT Deathnote set. As mentioned there are two versions for Each characters, a Seamless one and a Fully jointed one.

My worry is L, i want him in sitting pose, according to the promo pic below it says that only the seamless version can bend fully and the jointed one cant bend much further compared to the seamless. I believe jointed version of both characters would be practical since the added price of the seamless upper body version seems not worth it, but i am torn when it comes to L since if true, i cant pose him in a sitting position if i choose the jointed version. Don't know if this is just a marketing ploy by GT to force us to buy the seamless one with added price.

If you looked at the picture comparisons you would notice that the jointed body doesn't have any/limited movement on these areas:

- Neck/collarbone
- Shoulders + triceps

Without these, it's unlikely for the figure to achieve a full fetal position, much like how it was shown with the silicone version.

You can also test it with Sephiroth/Cloud/Ichigo body from GT (if you have any) to see if it fulfills your ideal pose before deciding.

Surprised KGHobby doesn't have these up for preorder yet? Late to the party this time it seems. I'm still debating on if I even want these or not. They look really cool, but I'm just not a huge fan of the series. Might implement some restraint with these, but I got until the 8th to become persuaded I guess.

Hi @ElingMona Do you have a photo in GT group of Fully jointed L in sitting position? just wanna see how it looks and how far it can bend.

Is his body any different from the Jointed Sephiroth and Ichigo body types (GTBD-001 vs the new L GTBD-005)? Can't afford to test it with my other GT figures. Would really appreciate if GT boss have a photo of one or atleast confirm if jointed version can also do sitting position. it's the durability of the silicone version is what holds me off but im torn of not being able to have L pose in his iconic sitting position.

Hi, GT boss suggested to get the half silicone body for L (if you intend to make him sit like the promo photo) Because the fully joint body hardly bend like that.

Here's the difference, sorry if the photo quality looks bad. That's the max durability for L's full joint body

I ordered both Lights with standard bodies and then L with half silicone

Ordered the whole set in half seamless.
Probably will use their bodies for other things. Its so much time till the end of 2024 .. so we will see what will come up next.

Hi @ElingMona , thanks for asking GT boss for us. Really helps with the decision making. I ordered Light jointed and L silicone after seeing your reoly. I really wanted L to be in a sitting position when i display him. If not for you i might've pre ordered a jointed L cuz i initially assumed it could atleast bend just right. Sucks if you have a really nice chair for L but can't use it as intended. Thanks!

Ive ordered Standard L, Upgrade Light, 2 extra body pieces (1 standard and 1 upgrade) and now I gotta get an Upgrade L Wish I did that in the first place. But it's alright lol

You can use the extra silicone body of Light for L. They both use the same body sculpt

I just don't know if the seamless version will outlast the jointed version. I think I saw a Cloud that had ripped armpit or something, so I'm a little worried about the material breaking down or getting sticky. What do you all think?

Well according to GT studio, their new material for the seamless bodies starting Advent Children cloud are made of medical grade silicone which is much more durable than the ones cloud and zack GT have

Light and L half seamless and standard on light suit. I think it would probably be cheaper if I just do standard on both light and L and seamless on black suit. then swap the black suit body to L.

For those who plan to buy the set to get the extra pre-order gift on gundamit.
You have to buy the set variant instead of each one separately.

They changed their listing now, so you can now choose, each body type has their own pre-order.
But I had already bought L (which is now the jointed version)
I also pre-ordered Light, but the seamless one.
To make sure I get the pre-order gift (the chess looks dope), I asked if I would be able to get it with those orders.
