I can't say much that wouldn't just be a downer. I haven't gotten far in life myself, but seeing as you have mechanical apptitude, see if you can get a job as a Mercedes mechanic, or one of the other high brow car companies, or specialist fields, like mining trucks. I know 9 to 5 may not suit, but it pays bills, and will get you a loan for a house. One thing I do know, which Les has stated is life can change on a dime. I guess you know that too, since it just happened to your father. It can change just as easily for the better. Let's hope it does just that.

As for the military, I have a fear of recommending that path. It may be good for you, but may bring your family down. So I say move forward, you have done your time there, don't look back.

In these daunting times focus on what you do have and live for, which is your family, and the love you share between them.

Thanks Les....thanks Creech.... I know things will be ok... But I want the best possible outcome for my family. Military life wasn't that bad, Being in a Navy squadron was cake and I got a lot out of it. In a way, I was never really happier. And I know that now, with the support of my fiance and my friends that I would be fine if I went back.

I'm keeping all doors open...

My Dad might get lucky and get his old job back, but will have to move back to MS. It's a start for him and I'm happy to know that he has a plan.

Josh, I am sorry to hear about ths man. Really, that is a VERY tough situation to be in. I wish the best for your dad. All I can say really, is be true to yourself. Follow your heart. Pursue the dreams that you have. Always move onwards. Never stop. Keep moving. Life likes to put obstacles in our ways. Those obstacles however end up benfiting us in the end, some of the time. Not always. Always remember that it is happiness that matters. Above all else, what is there that should come first? If we aren't happy, then we lose a lot of our fighting power right there. Josh, if you ever need anything, PM me. All of us here are your friends! We are here for you! Never forget that.
